I heard he rents his house out? Does anyone know what this guy is really about? His messages seem good. But renting a house for filming seems like he's misinforming us on his success.

Some people buy that stuff.

I'm not gonna hate on them.

As for me, I'd rather learn on my own.

Most "self help" mentors/gurus/fakes do that. Build a fake reality to trick people into buying their content. Most of the content is just a rewrite of what W. Clement Stone wrote many years ago.

If you search for "Tai Lopez fake" in youtube, you see several people that have taken a closer look at what he does

He's a fraud but he'll fake it until he makes it. Sometimes you have to do that. He is funny, but listen to him speak and then contradict himself and just talk on an on.

In general, when you have to pay someone for "secrets to financial wealth" or "tips for overnight success" or contribute some sort of monthly/yearly fee, it's a scam. The fact that you can't easily unsubscribe from the service only compounds the reasoning that the guy is a scammer. The reason some of his advice makes sense is that it will echo all the other advice that is found in many other books and online blogs - it's very generic. I've heard one describe it as a simple manipulation and expansion of Robert Green's The 48 Laws of Power. As my bio (an observational comment) reads, "You make more money selling pans than by panning for gold."

To be fair, I haven't looked up the guy, but the detailed description (much of which has now been removed) was enough to tell you've been sucked into a scheme. The fact that someone anonymously replied to this question in support of Tai Lopez only adds to the suspicion. If they are willing to back up the guy, but unwilling to publicly stand behind their claim, it should raise a few eyebrows.

He's gregarious enough and if you can talk you can find more than a few people who will go in on you. Hell you can find pretty good people off of craigslist if you know what you are doing.
