Running 3 monitors off one PC ????

I have two screens running on my system now,
Trying to add another .
the first two are on a dual head nvidia card, Can I plug my last one up into my onbaord video card and get it to work somehow ?

So far nothing .. but is there a way to do it ?

I am running Xp .

I think once your computer sees a card in your AGP slot it doesnt recognise the on-board. (I think) I had the same trouble. I just dumped a PCI voodoo3500 in one of my open slots and it worked fine. XP comes with voodoo drivers

Simple answer, no. not onboard, either either AGP or onbaord.

If you run 2 screens off one pc, with a good card can you run 2 different resolutions(800 and 1200)?

If you can, do you recomend any perticular card?

Thx,
Ray

I bet that monitor would rock your Half Life world.

I used to run three monitors when i was day trading. You have to use three different cards though. I am pretty sure that the dual monitor card is the reason things are fucked. I ran one AGP and two PCI's and it was a breeze to set up.

Yes there is, just enable the video card on your mobo and then go to the bios and switch the primary video boot from AGP to PCI. This will make the on board video a primary one (assuming that it is a PCI version). If it's an AGP version like your nVidia card then you can't do it(can't have 2 AGP cards on one PC), unless you get another add on PCI video card.

Then go to Windows XPs display properties and check if the third display adapter is showing, if it is then enable it by checking the "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor".

Good Luck

You need either 3 cards, or a card that supports 3 monitors. To the person that asked if you could run different resolutions, yes, you can, but that also depends on your drivers to a degree I believe.
