This did not happen to me. I was an oarsman in college (crew). There was this guy when I was a freshman who looked exactly like Ben Franklin. So you can guess what his nick name instanly became. He was a really good sport about it until one day he had a really bad practice and one of the varsity guys asked him how pracitce was. This is how it went.

Varsity: "Hey Ben how was practice?"
Ben : "You know I would rather be called Dick head than Ben Franklin."

Well I guess you can figure out what his nickname was for the next four years.

My last name is Dillman so I got called a lot of creative nick names in school:

dillpickle
dillmary
dildo
dillbread (I don't get this one)

But mostly people just called me Dillman. Never got called by my first name...it got confusing since I had two younger brothers also referred to by their friends as "Dillman".
