you get all 3 of them free, once a year. Just did all mine without any issues.

I used https://www.freecreditreport.com (not really free). I recommend this or any other credit report site where you can get a 3 for 1 report of the big 3, Experian, Trans Union and Equifax. You should get all 3 reports because they vary, sometimes dramatically.

I also like the feature of alerts they have any time my FICO score changes/updates or if there are any inquiries or new credit items on my record.

call your credit card company and ask them. They may have an offer, which gives you all three credit reports for free.

Citi Cards offer this, type of service, and they have a monthly recurring service for $9.95, which monitors your credit.

Chase has it aswell, but it's like $12.95, free the first month.

BOFA sucks, they want to charge you $1.00 per $100 on your card, to offer you the same service as the above.

Yup this is one of the best choices since that law went into effect. Just watch out for up sells (if they still have them). If you need your credit scores as well as reports, you may want one of the many credit monitoring agencies instead. Many places offer them free (your cards do) for so many months, if you do not cancel - well you know the story.

work in the credit industry dean, use the annualcreditreport.com link posted. others are upsells. annualcreditreport.com is setup by the FTC to get reports out once/year as mandated by the FCRA guidelines. watch for the fico upsells though. If looking for credit reports and credit scores, try myfico.com. As the annualcreditreport.com doesn't offer "fico" scores, they offer other scores for a price.
