A question for the guitarists

I have played left handed for over 40 yrs. I want to switch to playing right handed. Im tired of seeing great guitars on craigslist I can't get or to walk into a music store and they have 100 guitars and two left handed. Also figure its a good brain strengthening exercise.
Im going to buy a cheap right handed guitar and I figure go back to good old Mel Bay. Playing old paint and jingle bells doesn't excite me but I figure its the best way to get the hand coordination. Your thoughts?

I flew first class to London one time with one of Jimi Hendrix's guitars in the seat next to me.

yeah, that's a workable solution but if you spend good money on a guitar you probably want a pick guard to protect the finish i'm sure.

changing hands is crazy and ridiculous, however I normally do things the hard way myself so I understand. It wont be anywhere close to the learning curve it took the first time. you already know where your fingers need to be, you already understand rhythm, your ear is there. so its just a matter of coordination and finding the rhythm with your right hand.

edit:

we're talking about jerking off right?

I think there is no secret formula. You have to start it from almost the beginning. Patience and practice, practice, practise...

That sounds insanely tough to do.... personally I would stay with the stringing upside down idea. Personally I've had plenty of guitars without pickguards and they don't get that scratched up....

Depends on if you're in the Northern or Southern hemisphere due to the Coriolis effect

But seriously... good luck on that one! Wish I had some suggestions for you. Practice strumming right now and fingering with your left hand. If you play then you know which fingers you'll be moving for which scales and so forth. You should be able to poke a hole in the fretboard with your left pinky in no time! Or at least make it move!
