First, it's nice that you're tyring to help, but you've fallen for a scam...

This is the kind of shit that contributes to the ruination of the usefullness of the Internet. If these types of fake e-mails didn't get constantly sent around and posted then maybe when one is real it would be taken seriously. This one is fake.

I can't get Snopes to load right now but ALWAYS check www.snopes.com when you get ANYTHING that tells you to send it to everyone in your email box.

There was another email floating around forever about an abducted baby. Apparently, she's been returned and the local sheriff's been begging people to stop visiting the sheriff's site and leaving email.

My guess would be that someone really had it in for the woman they are claiming is the missing childs mother. (i.e. she eventually lost her job from all of the calls, etc.)
