godaddy auction help needed.

hi all.,

i am trying to get a domain from auction ,

i see 1 bid already on that domain but in comments it says "automatic bid".

and there is input box for me to enter the amount.

so my question is how do i enabled automatic bidding ? i.e. where do i enter my max bid amount ?

i cant find it on site, i only see the input box suggesting me to enter 25 bucks.

never done this b4 so.

help needed thanks.

Just tried looking now but can't find or remember how to autobid. Maybe it's not an option if you aren't signed in or it's not an option in certain categories eg "fixed price" - which one are you in?

Yeah I just incremented my winning bid to see what would happen ie set a small autobid as a test. It wouldn't let me increment by less than 5usd and after I had submitted my bid of $17 I am still the winning bidder at $12 ie you should be OK.... unless GoDaddy are autobidding, but that's another story

I didnt check the minimum bid increment. But i know you only pay the next highest bid. you dont pay your maximum bid. plus any registration fees i believe.

just wanted to make sure where to put the autobid / max amount.

1st bidder comment says, automatic bid , i guess it means , he has bid more than suggested bid.

the auto bid and maximum amount are technically the same thing, if your maximum bid is higher then the next bidders price it will automatically place the lowest possible bid for you.

Correct, automatic bid comment means that the bidder has a proxy bid higher than the next bid increment. If the bidder bids more than the minimum amount, it becomes a proxy bid and will show automatic bid, if it is equal or less than the next bid increment, then it will not show that comment.
