I run some blogs for some well known foodies and a large percentage of their traffic is currently coming from Instagram and then Pinterest.

I'd say both of them are worth using. Regardless of your niche, mainstream or adult.

The instagram game is very hard to play. Twitter is much easier. But if you do it right, instagram is amazing. The bot thing ain't the way to go long term.

Control "real" profiles and set them up as "thirst traps". Its all about the thirst traps. Once you start trapping, these trapped people will cashapp you for a single nipple pic and attempt to make you rich for a fansign.

Instagram it's getting very very serious about bot's and behaviors that are not so natural. the traffic from instagram it's good traffic, but you need to make it organically, otherwise you will be fucked so soon

Grow organically; followers are easy to get, especially for hot(?) chicks. I know I could easily have an additional 20,000 followers if I had a nice rack. Video helps too.

Definitely warm it up manually for about 2 months or so. Consistent. Then introduce a bot to take over the same pattern of posting.

I have 17 IG accounts (IG, Twitter, and Tumblr) that are all botted. I create the posts and pile them into the scheduler.

Out of all platforms, IG cracks down the most on bots, so be careful.

I work with paid Instagram campaigns in mainstream.
I'd say that when it comes to our vertical, it's a great tool for brand awareness with naughty yet safe for work content, IT'S not however, a tool to send direct traffic.
It's a different strategy than just going viral or having tons of accounts liking each other's posts. If you ever require a few tips about the Facebook-Instagram publishing dashboard, just let me know
