The year is starting off on the wrong foot ! Some idiot, or Idiots, broke into my store at about 4 am early in the morning .

They came thru an old skylight in the roof, totally destroying the Tbar ceiling and a lot of furniture in the process! Looks like Beirut in there !

What did they get for all this effort ? NOT MUCH, they stole a whole bunch of costume jewellery and items of not much cash convertible value, like few thousand carats of semi precious unmounted gemstones. 2 matching Wilkinson Dress swords, some Ice Master club watches, and several other items.

Clearly they were total amateurs leaving fine silver oz bar and other sterling objects, concentrating on costume necklaces.

I am offering a 1K Cash reward, for information leading to the apprehension and conviction of the culprits !

I am sorry to hear of your misfortune! I think it is good that they overlooked items of real value.

brassmonkey has a good point about where the stolen items may be. Not sure if you had cameras but I would be trying to remember who might have shown recent interest in those items.

Flea markets might end up being a place to find them. I doubt most of it will end up in pawn shops.

Hope the rest of the year is much smoother for you.

New Years always seems so positive for me, then a few weeks later the hammer comes down and it's bad news for weeks.

This year is going to be different. I woke up New Years Eve morning to find my water supply line froze and cracked. Nice swimming pool and skating rink in my driveway.

Surprisingly no blood, some fingerprints and a couple of shoe impressions. As it happens cams were not on, cancelled the alarms months ago, as we changed policy about keeping much on premises. Yes I know, hindsight is 100%

Yes, building is fully insured, merchandise is not. I would need Jewellers Block insurance, cost is crazy and too many conditions, for them to get out of paying
