Globill totally fucked?

Signups are going through, as I get the emails, but their entire admin site has been down for days - no records of signups or payouts, no emails answered.

Its like they turned out the lights and went home.

What a bunch of morons, can't figure out an email to webmasters would go a long way.

It really does amaze me how incompetent all the cc processors are. Not just that they trashed the database and are rebuilding it or whatever, but that they are maintaining secrecy while the webmasters jump ship.

I'm going to wait a few more hours, and then take a hard look at CCBill again. Technical fuck-ups are enough, but the silence is what rattles me...

my stats seem back to normal now. I just got this response to one of my emails I sent last night:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello All,

As many have noticed and posted on our discussion board, our stats server was displaying incorrect results for the last couple of days. Our programming dept. was reconfiguring the servers in order to upgrade the overall stats system. The reconfiguring was done in such a way that it was NOT supposed to have any impact or cause any downtime. Unfortunately, the best laid plans sometimes go awry and the upgrade caused errors to be displayed in the last two days.

All the servers are now fully upgraded and all the stats are now restored and fully up to date. The new system will allow you to see more time-accurate stats.

ALL signups were processing normally during the stats problem. The signup servers were unaffected by the stats issue and your up to date stats now reflects any signups you got within the last two days.

GloBill apologizes for any downtime and we ask that our clients view said downtime within the context of our excellent past uptime record.

best regards,
Christy Martineau

My Globill stats seem to have started catching up, although they are not current yet. They e-mailed me yesterday and said that they have programmers working on it and that signups are still going through. I'm still getting the signup e-mails and, in the past, when this sort of thing happened, it appeared that all signups did actually go through while the stats were inaccessible or inaccurate.

Man, some people have no sense of proportion. Globill has two days of a screwy stats server (first downtime in the 3 years I've been using them) and everyone wants 'em to eat shit over it.

Granted, they would have looked better in this glitch if they emailed us earlier.

But overall they have the best overall service and system imho.

It?s a constant theme with them. I always say they are pretty good in practice, but they cover their asses like terrorists.

A while back there was a period where they bounced EVERY check, even the good ones. I had to document many cases and send them a ton of shit before they finally confessed they had known about it for days.

Their international dialers were out for months. Al that while they advertised the service and let signups get as far as page two before a confession web page.

They have an icon for Diners Club on the signup. After the surfer submits his card and types in a page of shit, is told he is rejected - if he emails about 5 times he'll be told they don't actually accept that card.

I just wish they could fix a few glaring things and learn to communicate with webmasters - its not a one time thing with them, just an irritating dribble.

It may seem weird, but I expect the same professionalism with adult related businesses as the rest of the world...

Stay AWAY from ProBilling! You think you have problems with Globill (or websitebilling as illustrated in other thread)? Probilling.com is on VERY shaky ground, lost it's merchant account last November, scrambled to find a new one, then started HEAVY duty scrubbing in December at a rate where almost 90% of all credit cards were rejected. They have little or NO support. Forget about calling them on the phone, and good luck getting a reply in email.

As a person who did at one time trust them, and then got ROYALLY screwed, I post this message in all honesty that joining probilling will be one of the largest mistakes you can make.

Dayamm! Just read past threads! You'll see fewer complaints and more praise re: Globill than any other processor. They are not the best processor for shitty sites or sites that get crap traffic, but if you've got a good site getting good traffic, you could hardly do better.

CCbill is like an oasis in the desert. You are very right about their support team. On top of things! Able, willing and ready to help you out.

Very well said. BTW CCBill is awesome and I have never had a single problem with them or late payment. They are the best for webmaster supports and ontime payments. Their admin is just amazing, you can do anything. I highly recommend them.

I can verify the "bounced check" issue, I got them to admit to it aswell. Did they ever make up the false bounces? I know they gave access to the members.

Now when I get someone e-mailing and I see there check has bounced I tell them to check there bank statement and get back to me, have a had a couple who were acctually billed, one was reactivated but when I asked about the funds I never got a reply, I let it go as it was only 14.95.

I agree pretty good in practice but cover there asses and "do not always tell it exactly like it is".

Wish they would make there payout stats easier to understand, break up CC & check sales etc.... Still "pretty good overall" just need to be open about issues and communicate better.

Globill has some faults, but on the whole I trust them and like them. They have never bounced any of my checks, user support has always been very good, they payout every week, never ever late. I do think they scrub a little to hard, but I have to admit using Globill I have the fewest amount of chargebacks Ive ever had. Whether or not the scrubbing is outweighing the chargebacks I may or may not receive, I dont know. But I guess theyve got to cover their own asses as well.
Fuck, I remeber like 5 years ago I knew nothing about this biz, and signed up with the first cc proccessor I found, Membership+. They always paid me, but chargebacks galore, and something like $25.00 per! I dont even know if their still around.

You can be fined whether you use an IPSP or have your own merchant account. The rules changed last November, incase you were not aware. Our merchants do just fine, thanks. Netbilling provides all of the tools and knowledge to do so. If a merchant wants to be a scammer, he will get fined but usually just terminated first. You can't hide under a third party processor anymore. Run your business like a real business and you should not have any merchant account problems. Give customers what you promise on the outside of the members area and make sure you offer great customer service, whether you do it yourself or have your processor provide it for you.

I think you mean when they bounced webmasters checks.

We were talking about customer check joins which happened after the visa reg mess.

Spam is annoying. Bumping a week old thread to spam is really fucking annoying.

Probilling sucks. I signed up with them during the whole visa fiasco. About a month later they tanked my account. There reason was that I run "TEEN" sites (all legal) . They said that because visa is so strict they are no longer allowing teen sites. luckily I had not fully switched over my sites to them so I didn't lose out too much. total waste of time. find a real processor. How long have they been in the industry? a year? . If you do decide to business with them watch out.. you might recieve a letter next.. maybe next all models will need to look above 30 or something.. or maybe they'll ban gay content because visa isn't into anal sex.. beware
