I'm working on a seminar for new mainstream online affiliates. Lecture setting... The hard part is anticipating what they do not know but should know....

What is something veteran webmasters know is 'obvious' that new webmasters may not have figured out yet... I'm making a list of stuff to cover.

So far ill be going over:
1) $/click
2) The value of re-editing one scene into many originals
3) The downside of duplicative content
4) The importance of perfecting your tracking before buying traffic

That said topics
- tracking user within the sales cycle,
- the many uses of A|B testing
- re targeting
- RTB and the proper use of programmable ad buying
- the do's and don't of free traffic
- link structure
- tools every webmaster should know how to use.
- when to do it yourself and when to just use fiver,

All good points, especially basics like colors and the importance of load times. Things now so obvious to many that are often overlooked by newer webmasters.

Too many noobs have simple expectations that if they build something, they'll make money. Discuss the elements of successful selling from acquiring qualified leads, pitching them products or services that satisfy a need and making compelling calls to action.

Actually I'm very interested in traffic generation.

I do a lot of face to face - person to person marketing of my skills. I'm thinking it would be nice to set up a small blog and send enough traffic to it so as to cut down on my need to be a salesman.
