MMA is not a "martial art". Mixed Martial Arts means taking the most effective techniques from multiple disciplines - where trial and error ultimately weeded out almost all traditional martial arts and and left Muay Thai and BJJ. MMA today implies BJJ/Muay Thai but doesn't have to be. There is a reason no one walks into the cage in a gi doing their retarded karate/kung fu/tae kwon do stances and striking from the belt and all the other idiocy they train to do.

Since you're now in training for the big fight, might be wise to make some modifications to your diet. Ditch the raisin bran, its very high in sugar and provides little nutritional benefit. If you must eat cereal, pick one low in sugar and high in protein. Lose the bun on the chicken sandwich and avoid the mayo, just have a grilled chicken breast. Also avoid El Pollo loco, most of their items are very high in calories and fat. Since you'll want to slim down for the fight, stay far away from Tommy's.

My suggestion to you however is that you demand I have at least 14 oz gloves as the real purpose of boxing gloves is to protect the person getting punched. I would strongly advise against 4oz MMA gloves as their real purpose is to protect the hand of the person striking. No gloves would jsut be suicide as you will, without question, be seriously injured (broken nose, lost teeth, broken jaw, fractured/busted orbital socket etc etc).
