Here is my latest cover for AVN. I think I have been shooting these since 2003

It's always a pleasure to work with Theo, Jesse, and the AVN crew!

We had a lot of fun shooting this one.

Here are some additional images I shot that day along with a couple BTS.

Looks great!

You do a great job of using shadows too. Me? I'm usually trying to eliminate all the shadows. lol But you have a real artist's magic with your lighting.

I love shadows Robbie but I hear ya! I am starting to feel some of my new clients want flatter light so you may see more of that style from me soon. ;)

Thanks Dean! Ironically I shot these with my travel camera setup which is Lumix with Leica glass.

All good. I like the Canons but I grew up with Nikon and it is a personal preference to me. The truth is that the camera business used to be an optical business but it is fast becoming a technology business. I find myself using more cameras from Panasonic and Sony now which I would have thought crazy a couple years ago. And since I can use my Nikon lenses across all these platforms I can still get the look that I want with the lenses I am used to regardless of the body.

Dito! I use Canon gear for my shoots but fairly recently picked up a Sony NEX 7 & 3 Sony lenses....and a Fuji X100s. I haven't yet used either of them for production but they are really fun cameras to shoot and the image quality is just beautiful! I did a side-by-side comparison with the 5D Mark II and the Sony NEX 7 in a low light / available light situation and the difference was almost indistinguishable - although the Canon looked every so slightly better. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to use the NEX 7 for any of my industry shoots.

The new Sony A7s really looks great. The low light capabilities of that camera and phenomenal. Canon & Nikon are probably still the front runners but lots of great camera companies are creeping up on' em

I was thinking the same thing JFK ;) My D800 was in the shop. Looking forward to the D810!
