She shot with KINK a week after we did this cover. No way anyone could have known she was going to leave. In fact she was all excited to go shoot in San Francisco.

You did :thumbsup All good. I like the Canons but I grew up with Nikon and it is a personal preference to me. The truth is that the camera business used to be an optical business but it is fast becoming a technology business. I find myself using more cameras from Panasonic and Sony now which I would have thought crazy a couple years ago. And since I can use my Nikon lenses across all these platforms I can still get the look that I want with the lenses I am used to regardless of the body.

Dito! I use Canon gear for my shoots but fairly recently picked up a Sony NEX 7 & 3 Sony lenses....and a Fuji X100s. I haven't yet used either of them for production but they are really fun cameras to shoot and the image quality is just beautiful! I did a side-by-side comparison with the 5D Mark II and the Sony NEX 7 in a low light / available light situation and the difference was almost indistinguishable - although the Canon looked every so slightly better. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to use the NEX 7 for any of my industry shoots.

The new Sony A7s really looks great. The low light capabilities of that camera and phenomenal. Canon & Nikon are probably still the front runners but lots of great camera companies are creeping up on' em :thumbsup
