Basically the images are resized in 3 formats:
small: 250 px width
medium: 600 px width
and large: 1K px height

The height of the small and medium images is adjusted via css, same on the width of the large images.

Resized just by CSS or physically cropped/resized with imagemagick? It looks like it detects landscape oriented images from portrait oriented ones.

Image resized to various resolutions and displayed based on the div of where it shows and adjusted via CSS.
