It was in 1996, at a friends house. Then in november or december, at home.

1989, University of south Western Ontario.

Private FTP site porn, hours of uudecoding Usenet. Almost no spam
back then. Titles were always matched to the contents, Archie'd
for sites not Google'd.

1988 when it only existed as ARPANET at Micron Technology Center.

The damn IBMs tore apart my files and I had to ask for the originals by snail mail. Like being in a candy store where you can look but can't touch.

Don't remember the year, but it was pre-the first version of Mosaic. Good ol' days of shell accounts and BBSes.

I visited the university with a family member and spent about 2 hours playing with a computer connected to the Internet.

Maybe '94 or '95, I was just a kid.

around 96 I think.
first site Yahoo, second site Persiankitty (can you guess what I searched?)
...anyways, a week later I discovered xpics.. and then I discovered 'public domain' content and cut & paste HTML techniques.. fun times.

1991, when I went to university. Some guy showed me the "internet": telnet, ftp, email, and News of course. Then a few years later came lynx, mosaic, netscape :-)

Similar here.. 300baud on a commodore

With The Internet... I remember we had to setup SLIP on a netcome shell account & then run mosaic. Woo the web was barren back then (but was still amazing)

That was like.. a couple years before infoseek became king.

14.4k baud modem on my trusty (still working) Quantex 133Mhz Pentium 1 comp.

Funny thing is, that comp is over 10 years old and it's still in good running condition (it's on Win95).

June 1997. I got a 166mhz, 8mb ram, 2 gb hd. I wanted to see what this internet thing was all about. I got it home and hooked everything up on my kitchen table . It had a thing to get a concentric account on it and I was surfing 2 hours after I got it. I remember not knowing whether or not I was on the internet, I was soooo confused.. There was no one I knew to ask questions. 6 months later I quit my job and was doing porn full time :-)
