i remember it well cuz it was the same week as the GreenDay concert i went to... LOL

1988 when it only existed as ARPANET at Micron Technology Center.

The damn IBMs tore apart my files and I had to ask for the originals by snail mail. Like being in a candy store where you can look but can't touch.

Battle Net was my first internet encounter :). Way back when that started, good ole Diablo :)

Don't remember the year, but it was pre-the first version of Mosaic. Good ol' days of shell accounts and BBSes.

I visited the university with a family member and spent about 2 hours playing with a computer connected to the Internet.

Maybe '94 or '95, I was just a kid.

Mosaic was my first Internet browser as well. I remember most Dutch Website looked like online newspapers back then. Hehehe

1991, when I went to university. Some guy showed me the "internet": telnet, ftp, email, and News of course. Then a few years later came lynx, mosaic, netscape :-)

With The Internet... I remember we had to setup SLIP on a netcome shell account & then run mosaic. Woo the web was barren back then :) (but was still amazing)

That was like.. a couple years before infoseek became king.

June 1997. I got a 166mhz, 8mb ram, 2 gb hd. I wanted to see what this internet thing was all about. I got it home and hooked everything up on my kitchen table . It had a thing to get a concentric account on it and I was surfing 2 hours after I got it. I remember not knowing whether or not I was on the internet, I was soooo confused.. There was no one I knew to ask questions. 6 months later I quit my job and was doing porn full time :-)
