When I was on the submarine, we had to purify water for the reactor. It was so pure, it had no flavor. To drink it was just the sensation of wet in your mouth and that's it.
I have a reverse osmosis system that takes out everything I want out, you want some of the things in water, or it will have no flavor. Some bottled water adds minerals so you can taste it.
