Sen. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma said the federal government already has six job-training programs for veterans and there is no way to know how well they are working. He argued that making progress on the country's debt was the best way to help veterans in the long-term. "We ought to do nothing now that makes the problem worse for our kids and grandkids," Coburn said. Democratic officials did not have an estimate for how many veterans would be hired as a result of the legislation. Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., said much would depend upon the number of applicants. She noted that more than 720,000 veterans are unemployed across the nation, including 220,000 veterans who have served since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. She said putting veterans back to work was the cost of war. I think Murray should have had a better plan for getting the bill passed when it was going to push the budget past agreed upon limits.... Or are you of the mind set off throwing money at everything and feel good about it, regardless if it works or not? Maybe you should look at what the VA head is in trouble for and that the GOP is calling for his job and the democrats are still supporting him? |

You know China is in bad shape because their pollution control is almost non existent. Their people are fucking DYING because they CANT BREATHE. The US has been fairly clean thanks to President Nixon's creation of the EPA. The EPA however is being chipped away. REPUBLICAN VICE PRESIDENT, Dick Cheney, the former head of Halliburton, added a provision to the Energy Policy act, that PROHIBITED THE EPA FROM REGULATING FRACKING UNDER THE SAVE DRINKING WATER ACT, and old assholes like him will turn the US and the WORLD into China in NO TIME. So listen to me, you fucking, ignorant, right-wing red neck tea-party republican freak: The USA had it good for a long time but CUNTS like you are ruining your own country because YOU ARE TOO FUCKING STUPID to see what is going on, and what you do affects US. Why don't you become as tough as you think you look on your Harley, and do some research? What are you afraid of? I bet you won't do shit. No surprise. I knew you wouldn't. Go stick your head back in the sand. |

CO2 was "discovered" in 1754. It was declared a pollutant in 2009 and you monkeys start throwing shit about how we need to defend against it. meanwhile, CO2 is necessary for ALL LIFE on earth and today is at historical lows despite what you children have been lead to believe. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GnbxR8yUMH...Biodiversy.png |
oh, and birds and mammals evolved 65million years ago, when CO2 levels were MUCH higher than today.
Its shocking how much early man "polluted" the earth with CO2 |
Hey deniers, take a look at this video.
Is it some kind of camera trick, or is all of this ice really melting? I'm sure you'll find some way to convince yourself this is no big deal, because you know there's a huge problem but for some reason you choose to lie to yourself. |
ever wonder why the global warmists never compare today's environment to the environment back in time that had equal or higher levels of CO2 to explain how harmful those levels were?
Right! because there was no harm back then. |

oh my god! who knew we lived through so many episodes of global warming!?!?!?! Every spring! how do we survive?????:1orglaugh |

think of that image of the polar bear clinging to a chunk of ice in the middle of nowhere constantly posted to PROVE global warming... well the facts are polar bears are MARINE mammals that spend a great majority of their time SWIMMING around look for stuff to eat and traveling to other ice flows... :2 cents: |

In response to the facts that I posted, you posted an irrelevant video! well done! You've explained in one posting, your statue on society's bottom rung. |
People who think carbon dioxide in increase amounts is no problem should try drinking another harmless substance water. 6 litres should prove the point that quantites are important too.

http://nypost.com/2014/01/06/us-coas...antarctic-ice/ They came to document global warming and shrinking polar ice caps ? but now they?re desperately waiting for the US Coast Guard to rescue their ship after it got stuck in record-breaking Antarctic ice. |

You blame Haliburton? I blame the EPA in 2000 the EPA undertook a study of hydraulic fracturing, to determine the potential risk to public water supplies from the process. The EPA?s report was published in 2004 and determined that hydraulic fracturing posed little risk to public water supplies and recommended no further study. Maybe you should do some research , Your parents were related, weren't they? It's not about keep polluting you inbreed excuse for a hockey mom that puts maple syrup in his beer, it's about we need to get the planet on this, not just one country. Getting one country to be cleaner will not fix shit if all the polluters just move operations to countries that let them pollute. Are all Canadians as fucking dense as you are? http://brennaaubrey.net/wp-content/u...say-really.jpg |

Are you one of those morons that can only get news from one source? |
I think that's presumptuous. I have broke ass conservative friends who are lying, cheating scum and broke ass liberal friends who are lying, cheating scum. On the other hand, I have some conservative friends who are fairly successful(only 1 of those is self-made, though) and many liberal friends who are successful.
I find my self-made friends to be more "liberal" and the ones who got where they are with the help of daddy's last name and check book to be more conservative. On the same token, though, I see many "liberals" who are 28, work at a call center, and expect the government to do everything for everyone including them. I dislike that attitude a great deal, even as a liberal myself. I don't like self-righteous people whether they're conservative or liberal. If you're conservative in the sense that you think anything "new" should be approached with a great deal of caution and study, then I respect you - we need people like that. If you're conservative because "fuck government", you're just as bad as the liberals who are liberal because "give me money" in my opinion. |

As for world history, yes climates have shifted over world history but never to this extent and never at this speed, not to mention the hundreds of studies on the impact of man and atmospheric CO2, In fact do you even know historically what has happened in the past during naturally occuring climate change and how this cycle differs? (my gues is no, but hey the scientists who actually study this obviously should just listen to you, right?) And I was trying to give you the benifit of the doubt and assuming it was politically based at least you could then have a reason, but my guess now is that this is just another topic you run your mouth about without actually knowing a damn thing. |

why do the most ridiculous comments come during the weekends? oh, wait. I know the answer to that. :1orglaugh |

I only call myself liberal because that's what others call me - I'm more pragmatic - sometimes that ends up coming across as conservative, sometimes liberal, sometimes "wtf did he just say?" :1orglaugh |

Because there are other extinctions that happened during low CO2 levels, you can make NO factual claims that CO2 cause the one particular extinction you point to. oh, and what banned nic were you previous to this one? its hard to keep track of you all. |

I'm new around here, so can't link you directly but a simple google search of "Evaluating sun?climate relationships since the Little Ice Age" should take you to an actual scientific journal aritcle, which explores the relationship and differences in warming trends in "bouncing back" from the mini ice age, vs today's warming issues. (Something I thouhgt I explained the first time I responded to you but clearly went over your head) |

And is this really the "come back" you people have? I literealyl signed up a month ago for the sole purpose of reponsding to a question about Zombaio payouts. But I've honestly never seen a dumber group of people in my entire life. This isn't even a complicated issue, we aren't even debating climate science, you aren't even able to read a comment threard and keep up. You have to suffer from some from of mental retardation. Because there's one thing to disgaree about issues, be it climate change or whatever, but this is as simple as Person 1 said ABC, I responded to ABC about ABC... and you ranting about some completely unrealated topic and thinkign you are saying something of value. It's embarrising watching you struggle through what is not really that complicated. We were talking about 1 specific time, I responded regard that period of time.. you are talking a different issue... BUT here, you want to talk about all the other times, ok please lets hear about a CLIMATE BASED extinction level event which did not happen during a time of wide CO2 varaibility (be it a spike or a collapse far below the norms after a spike), since you claim that there are all these climate based ELEs out there |

Good job.... But kid, I don't need some online message board validation, I don't need to brag about what I do or what I've done. So if you want to believe I'm living i mommy's basement, great. But if you're done making a fool of yourself, you're free to go. I have no more use for you. In fact honestly If I cared enough to figure out how to, you're the kind of person I'd block, because while Im annoyed by people like grapesoda, who is just ignorant abotu the topic.. I can deal with ignorance. What I can't deal with is incompetence, you cant' even follow a simple comment threard and have a meaningful debate..Its childish and a waste of time. But I won't block you, because honestly have no clue how and not going to waste time looking.... but I am likely to just ignore anything you say from here on out unless you start saying something of value) |

The big problem is that there is too much CO2 in the atmosphere. CO2 is a greenhouse gas which means it traps heat. Heat naturally rises and some of it dissipates into space. The CO2 in the atmosphere keeps more of the heat inside, raising the average temperature of the planet. It takes only a few degrees to change the world. This is why its such a big concern. |

Some people don't think Man is "responsible". I think we are, but ok fine. Other don't think that Man "contributes" to the problem. This really pisses me off because basic fucking science 101 proves that we do. The worst idiots are the ones who say that We can't or shouldn't do anything to try to fix the problem. Those idiots are the real problem. |

12Clicks, What happened back then was over the course of millions and millions of years. The earth naturally changes over time, everyone knows that. The changes that are freaking scientists out however are happening very, very fast, and these changes affect PEOPLE living today, and will have an even bigger impact on the kids only a generation or two from today. Another thing you seem to forget is that it is not just Carbon Dioxide (CO2) that contributes to global warming. There is also Methane (CH4), Nitrous Oxide (N2O) and several others. You should read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenhouse_gas The other big problem is what this huge spike in pollution is doing to our oceans. For a great explanation about this from NOAA, Read this page : http://www.pmel.noaa.gov/co2/story/W...idification%3F |
