One of my favorite sci-fi/horror artists died yesterday - 'Alien' creator H.R. Giger.

He was 74.

But as a BDSM/fetish photographer who had a very normal childhood and upbringing...I'd say childhood doesn't always shape one's later ambitions, proclivities or creativity.
