Would you say tgp's are dead or is there any future for that now that tubes is the new thing everyone do, i have a few tubes that spend a lot of time with and it is time consuming. Things that piss me off with tubes is that a video can have upto 5 different titles on a tube, special on the user upload sites.

I enjoy watching images as it is higher resolution (usually), and you do not have to listen to the model / actress moan "yesss, yeah, oh my god its so big"

What is your opinion?

Tgp are not dead yet,but their traffic compared to tubes is basically a statistical glitch.

Those idiots that say TGPs are still "alive" and will survive do not realize that the biggest TUBEs take picture uploads as well, even with a content partner program. But yeah, sure, surfers will rather keep browsing through some ancient 1999 tgps and the galleries listed

Lol, I like checking Alexa before spreading the nasty "disinformation".

TGP traffic is shit compared to 2006, when I started with them. They were good, did not adapt and died out. From surfer's point of view, there is no reason to go to the old school tgp instead of say Xhamster - with all those fresh videos, pictures and social community features. Off course, the alternative picture sites, pinboards etc. are a different story.

Not saying the old TGPs have no traffic, but it's low and not worth the time.

TGPs aren't dead. It's good to diversify and have a variety of sites with different types of traffic.

I'm more annoyed from listening to the guys talk.

Hows it not worth the time, if you build galleries regularly google loves you, But I get your point, It just doesn't leave out that tgps if they updated regularly and have fresh content do well both with google and the surfer, I personally prefer to visit tubes but I cant sit here as Im growing all the time for two - three year snow and say there dead. I get content from members area too so my surfers are happy and share my urls as well. If more people knew, there would be more traffic in picture sites. I do have one at 100k and growing monthly.

If you knew, you would know how many programs issue tgp galleries every single day of the week. Those galleries are going somewhere or they wouldn't bother making them. Tubes don't use tgp galleries so they must be going somewhere. And if companies are still making them then they are producing income. Nothing hard to understand about that. I love all the experts here at GFY. TGP's are dead, long live TGP's!

tgp's are not something someone should drop and stop working with, as its already been stated, people are still maintaining traffic and earning from them. I wouldn't invest time or money in any future products building them though. Distinct difference there.

What kind of script is recommended for tgp's? I have been filling a gallery manual over time as a side project on free time, custom galleries and descriptions but combining these things with work is hard i still got to sleep..

Yes SpicyM, surfers will keep flocking to tube sites. But they don't spend money like the ones who come to TGP's.

One good hit of search engine traffic = 1000 hits of TGP traffic. But 1 hit of TGP traffic = 100,000 hits of tube traffic.

That's just my general feeling after many, many years of selling porn online and watching my stats as an affiliate promoting a few hundred programs AND as a paysite owner watching what affiliates can send me and their traffic sources.

I believe the question was regarding the classic TGPs and gallery submission.

The classic TGPs are dinosaurs, the concept of submitting a picture gallery was made because of high bw/hosting costs and the current trends are totally different. BW is cheap and tubes offer 100% better experience for surfers, pics, videos, social features ..

Yeah sure some of them can still bring a sale or two here and there, but the question is , if it's worth my time and effort. In most cases, no.

Picture sites/blogs can still be profitable especially those oriented on softcore/erotic, but most people want to watch movies too and that's why tubes are so popular.

I think with tgp's you get the older surfers who are buyers. I would bet a large number of tube surfers arent even old enough to have credit card.

tgps, mgps are pretty much the same. its like automobile and suv, theyre kind of the same.
But I havent gotten good traffic form any in a while. I would love to know some to submit to and I will start submitting again

Vanilla TGP - Dead (doesn't work with PHP 5.3)

TGPX - Dead (having some of issues with PHP 5.3.3 and the unofficial support forum seems to be abandoned).

Smart-Thumbs - Still alive I think but support is slow.

KVS - Just got aware of this recently, but the feature to create a TGP site is only included in the most expensive version. Support is great and fast though.

SmartCJ - Mainly a tradescript but with build-in rotator. Don't have experience with this or if support is still alive, but no updates for a year according to their webpage.

Any other options out there or what do people use today for their new TGPs?
