Physically, yes. Mentally, probably not so much. I doubt he's going to forget that he's been involved in an accident where someone died, even though he didn't cause it.

That said, a friend of mine from High School had a heart attack while driving yesterday about 100 yards in front of me, jumping the median and crashing into a garbage truck. It wasn't till this morning that my Facebook came alive with the news that it was him. He was in his 30s and did not die instantly.
