If you got a website with 50,000 monthly pageviews..... all targeted traffic mainly organic do you think charging $100 to place a site wide ad (including homepage premium positions) is about right?

The site is a massage/escort site

Maybe yes. Depends on GEO. Don't get too greedy when offering ads to escorts, anyway. They make big $ but that does not mean they spend it all on ads. Besides, they most probably promote on lots of other places, too. Do the math.

I think that is a fair price as long the ad is visible when people open the page. When it's an ad in the footer then you might want to lower that price.

To be honest footers or ads below content perform quite well. Think of it this way - these ads are usually seen on pages with less content or by visitors, who have seen all the cool content you have on a particular page - they are hooked already.... Or by webmasters checking your footer for interesting stuff... or someone seeking how to contact website owner / webmaster.

Might want to consider a $1k/yr. option if they want to lock in for 12 months.

50K per month is about 1,700 per day. On Juicy Ads, you'd be lucky to get $5 for a monthly ad spot with mostly U.S. traffic.

First of all, "page views" are not "people looking to call a local escort right this minute" or "qualified buyers".

Second, you need an education in statistics. If you averaged 3 calls per month that really means 1 call in 30 days, then 0 calls for 3 months, then 5 calls in one month, ... then 0 calls for 2 and so on.

Good luck selling that.

You have no traffic. Why not work on that first.

Every single person with no traffic that wants to make money selling ads has zero concept of what the buyers experience is and how they perceive value.

Another recommendation may be to offer those same customers an automated response system that redirects them to a phone sex service so you can capitalize off of the guys that get cold feet or your own white label cam services.

Erm, so if a person puts up an ad and it gets seen over 50,000 times in a month, that is no good?

I am not sure what you are trying to tell me about the stats? I said, I put up an advert for 1 month to test out the traffic and from that advert I got over 100 calls. Is this no good?

A pageview isn't the same as a unique visitor. It's a big difference. I have one site which barely makes $100 a month so I don't spend much time on it. Here are the stats for last month:

1,600,058 pageviews
1,804,935 hits
87,925 unique visitors
137,927 visits

Note that the pageviews and hits are a bit low because it has caching.

50,000 views per month = 1,666+ views per day.

1,666 views per day, with at least 60% US traffic, is only worth about $ 2.50 or $ 3.00 max for the entire month run.

Any experienced banner buyer will never pay $ 100 for just 1,666 views (impressions) daily.

Well obviously I did not answer the calls as I am a guy

However, all I know is that guys were going crazy to meet the made up girl in the advert

And not just tested for one sale. You need to make multiple sales before your sales are anywhere close to relevant. If I were you, I would give the ad spot to several escorts for free for a month. 4 or 5 different girls. Maybe even do a second group for a second month. Then you have some useful stats, and a bunch of girls who have seen the worth of the ads. You lose two months, but in really, what is two months in the grand scheme of things given what you get in return? You get solid data on your site, what the ads return for the buyer and potentially 4-10 customers already signed up. You will know if you are on the right track, what to charge, where you need to make improvements (other than the obvious- get more traffic)
