Last nights game was more like what I was expecting the whole series to be like. Seriously though, Quick needs to stop being a little punk. Bear hugging players legs so they cant follow play is not ok.

Blues and Blackhawks has been amazing, but that results in mutual annihilation. The winner will be too exhausted to make it through another round.

Kings have been swallowed whole by the Sharks, blood is in the water there. Sharks are looking amazing but Ducks I think will come out on top in the west.

Hope the Pens don't let any shots through to Fleury. He is either fantastic or horrible and that is no way to get to the Cup. Letang is way off his game so that is going to present issues.

Screw Boston, just on principle. They are so good the Almighty should send an Avenging Angel to cleave Chara in two just for the affront to the Creator's perfection.

Why is Montreal so good right now... starting to freak me out. Wasn't Montreal the team that finally killed Boston's big streak?

After the Blue jacket - penguins game yesterday Who knows what will happen. They pulled that win out of no where. Flurry should have had that OT goal.

Boston will probably win this round, but going up against Montreal they are a much larger team. I don't know if Montreal will be able to hold them off for 4, as much as I would love to see them do it.

My sharks hopefully will be able to bring this second game on kings ice home for a sweep, but its more then likely going to be the hardest game so far. Definitely is not going to be blow outs like the first two.

Yeah I did not see a 3 games to nothing run by the Sharks over the Kings, for sure. Nice win for LA last night but it might be a case of too little too late.

Red Wings are putting up a fight, and they did have a nice first game win but I think they're just too overmatched with the Bruins and it's showing.

As for the Habs, wow, just wow. I'm not sure if it's more the case that Tampa just completely dropped the ball or that Montreal simply played that well, probably a combination of the two, but I did not see a 4-0 sweep going into this series, for either team. Chicago - St Louis --- great series. Will the winner be too tired and beat up for round 2? I don't know about the Blues but the 'Hawks have ridden this rodeo before and managed to slither on through so I'm thinking if they win they'll find a way in the next rounds. That's what Stanley Cup teams do. They endure, and they find a way.

No one out there (not here, out there, in the twighlight zone of the world) seems to be talking about how great the Minnesota Wild are doing. Nice looking win for them last game. What is that series, tied 2-2 now?

Several surprises in these playoffs so far. Several more to come I'm sure. I wasn't much tuned into the Montreal-Tampa series but now I'm very much looking forward to seeing how they do in round 2.

I'm starting to have flashbacks to the late 80's, when my Jets were up 3 games to 0 on the Oilers, looked like we were finally going to get past Gretzky & co. for the first time, but then the unthinkable happened. Just like it looks to be happening in this series now.

Three game 7's played this week and what a way to close out round 1. Sharks, well, it was painful to watch for me as it brought back memories as I said earlier, but I must say I was a bit disappointed with most of the SJ fans leaving their team early and booing etc. Sharks had a pretty great season as far as I could tell, gave it their all and in the end just couldn't close out the Kings. The Blackhawks should (stress the word *should*) have no trouble putting away the Wild in round 2, but as usual you never know. Should be a good series. It'll either be a blowout or else Minnesota will surprise everyone yet again and come out swinging and make it an interesting series. I say Chicago wins it in 5.

Kings vs Ducks, is it? I have no idea how this one's going to go but being a good Winnipegger I have to go with my guy Selanne, so I'll say Anaheim in 7.

My sharks need to make a change. With as much talent as they have on the ice there is no reason we should keep flat lining during playoffs.

I apologize to any coworkers who come by my cube today and have to deal with my grouchy self.

Looks like ill route for the ducks the rest of the way. I would rather see the cup come to California, just not in the hands of the fucking kings.

Ha ha, I knew some ranger fan would take offense. But seriously, you have to admit the Rangers' powerplay throughout the series was the thing that was "sucking it", big time. Flyers played with more heart, especially during the final three or four games. Honestly I'm not much of a fan of either team but I'm probably more a Ranger fan than a Flyers fan right now, but I have to stick by my assessment, the Flyers deserved it more.

That's not to say the Rangers can't step things up and get their shit together for round 2. The way they played the Flyers I don't see them getting past the Pens, but if they play like they've played in past seasons they very much do have a chance. Me saying Pens in 6 was me being kind. I really half suspect it will only go 5 games.

Rangers-Flyers was the most subdued series of them all right up until game 6. If they don't make some changes immediately they're going to get owned by the Pens.

Subban may have scored twice last night but it was Carey Price who was the massive star of game one. Damn, the saves that guy made. He got absolutely peppered with shots at times, from all angles. That's what playoff goaltending should look like. I hope whomever's in net for the Jets next year is taking note.

I hear that's a good series. Haven't been able to watch it from my current location, all I get right now is CBC. I've been watching the Bruins-Habs games and the Rangers-Pens, but that's it.

I also hear the Wild have taken a couple of games from the 'Hawks. Amazing.
