Need suggestions for software that can:

1) Merge .mp4 files and (optional) add transition effects.

2) Create screenshots from a movie file. Say I want a screen dump for every minute or 30 seconds fx.

3) Not be too complicated to use.

Use the Batch Function and generate a script you can run on all movie files in a folder if you want
