GoPro Hero 3+ Black edition

Always wondered how the quality and ease of use would be for shooting porn. I filmed a 3some tonight using the hero3+ black edition with back pack (LCD Screen) and used tota lights bouncing off the ceiling and walls.

Besides it being a little shaky once in awhile I'm very pleased with how easy it is to use and the quality that I got out of it.

If you shoot pov, this thing is a must have!

Look up how to do a homemade steadicam. The simple designs work great for casual handheld use.

The sound on the GoPro leaves something to be desired, so look into connecting an external mic also. These cams were made to be used under water and in situations with a lot of wind, so sound fidelity wasn't a priority. Even a $30 mic is a noticeable upgrade.

Good suggestion, I actually made a hand held thing out of pvc for my dslr, I'll take a pic and upload it later

As far as the sound, I edited the video last night using my Bose headphones and I have no complaint on the sound quality. I guess they made a big upgrade on the latest model. I could notice a few places the sound was bad, I think I had my fingers over the mic holes but that was easy to edit out.

I wish I could upload a sample but this video was shot for private use.

The camera was set in 1080p 30 frames/sec in medium format. This was so I didn't have the distortion. If you have it set at super wide, I'm sure you will get the effect your looking for.

I haven't been shooting content lately as I'm working on getting everything we have prepared and built into websites. I do plan on using the gopro on my next shoot.

How about the fish-eye effect that comes from using GoPro cameras? It's annoying as hell for anything else than filming sports. Can you get rid of it or at least adjust it?

That is why I shot in medium instead of super wide. I think there are programs to fix it though. I tried downloading the go pro software from their site but it kept blue screening my computer so I never got to use it before uninstalling.
