Ukraine is a big ass country rich on natural resources, most of those sitting right outside the Russian border. Inclusion in the EU would just be another blow to a nation that used to be a super power but is now reduced to what it is. It's a shame really.

Besides it's not like Russia has a history for really giving shit up until it's worthless. How many years from WWII until you guys let go of the countries you invaded huh? You plundered the countries and left them poor and underdeveloped. Or was that somehow not what happened?

I told from the very beginning that if Euro Maidan won't be dispersed by the police, it will be a start of a real civilian war which will result into a disintegration of the country. Did I say this? You are totally clueless. Russia did not threat Ukraine with a trade war. You were misinformed. Right now Russian has tax free trade with Ukraine. In case of the Ukrainian association with the EU, there will be not borders for the EU goods and products to pass Russian border tax free from Ukraine.

The one must be a complete idiot to not understand, that Russia will have to cease the tax free trade with Ukraine in this case. This is not a war and not a treatment. This is just a STANDARD measure to protect the domestic market. ANY country in this World would do the same.

On the other hand, you have seen the US ambassador directing the people to riots and you have heard the "fuck the EU" dialog on youtube. So there is no doubts who is behind the riots in Kiev.

I lived for too long in Ukraine to say that East siders and West siders may have different culture and lifestyle, but they have never been so different and separated before Yanukovich who made it up to the level we're having now, it's a Russian driven political tech to separate and rule, to divide the country and then take over.

If there is a will of Eastern Ukraine and Crimea to take their own historical paths I would not stand against it.
