Is Bush a genuis?

It was a major miscalculation. With 175,000 U.S. troops massing on the border, he should have figured Saddam would suddenly start giving lipservice at least to the inspections, and then the world would turn against the liberation of Iraq.

Chalk one up for Saddam.

Or is it?

Keep in mind, prior to the U.S. troop massing and drum beating, there was not hundreds of inspectors pouring through Iraq humilating Sadaam and blowing up 150 scud missles.

Without the U.S. "arrogance" there would be no inspections. Only when Saddam became utterly convinced we were preparing for attack did he let the U.N. in.

The key to the game all along was to let the world know we were perfectly willing to go unilateral. Absent that, Saddam never would have taken anything seriously as he can always buy (or threaten) off a few other members on the UN security council.

Now we have an effective inspections regime that is (sort of) working and we haven't fired a shot.

So my guess is Bush will delay the war for a few months. Fuck the weather, and the moon too.

As time goes by Iraq will eventually be completely disarmed by the U.N. Or maybe, they will find something really big and he'll kick them out again.

And then we will attack.

Either way, the U.S. eventually wins. I'd say the Bush strategy is working brilliantly. Clinton tried to restart the inspections process his entire presidency, and never could.

Bush did it in 2 years and hasn't fired a shot yet.

And even if I am wrong and we attack anyway now, Bush has managed to (for the first time in history) get an enemy to start destroying his biggest weapons while awaiting an attack.

Amazing.

Just two months prior to 911, Bush gave an interview and was asked what he thought of the Taliban. He thought they were a rock group and dismissed the quesion!!! That flub was worse than when that other reporter outed him during the campaign for not knowing the names of leaders of major countries.

Bush is a moron puppet of the corporate elite. And he has his finger on the war button. I wouldn't be surprised if he does like Hitler and opens up a second front in another country besides Iraq - like North Korea, and ignites WWIII.

Then when he is done blowing up the world, he and ahahahcraft will start the War on Porn!

I think that's a very good point, Strainer. If we had Clinton or (God help us) Gore, we'd be suckin' Osama cock & kissin' Sadam'a ass by now.

Obviously, most people are morons & will never see the big picture. It's nice to see that there's still a few intelligent people around.

There's a hell of a lot more that goes into he and his counsel's decisions than what you think. Also, it's easy to say "George Bush is a moron" but in all reality, half the credit, nor half the bashings should be directed towards him. His cabinet helps him make quite a few decisions.

I wouldn't call Bush a genius, but he's definately not stupid... just lousy on TV. Honestly I prefer him fumbling his words and telling the truth to Clinton's polished way of lying his ass off and getting away with it.

Let's get real here guys....

Each of you - go to a mirror - look in it and honestly say to yourself that those of us in the adult webmaster community REALLY know what the fuck we're taking about when it comes to all this and that we have any business talking as though we do.

It is our right to spout off at the mouth and express our opinion - but to take it any more seriously than that is swimming in a pool of over self importance.

At SOME point we all have to admit that we ONLY know what they want us to know - and we all get the same news - we all hear the same bull shit. We all have opinions that are not going to change.

We are the LAST group of people anyone would take seriously when it comes to politics and wars - now aren't we?

I don't know about you - but I'm not really that sure that I want all the adult webmasters running things IF our 2-cents did mean anything. It's sure obvious we'd never agree on anything and would probably end up throwing shit at each other...

go.... go fuck yourself.

really I think no matter what happens we lose. If we attack iraq we will destroy them with ease. We have already said we will put an american general in charge of running irag while they try to come up with some kind of government. The middle eastern countries already hate us so this will just add fuel to thier fire and they will come at us harder.

If we back down and don't attack then the terrorist will calim victory saying that thier faith and courage stared us down and they will come at us harder.

9/11 was the bigining of something that will go of for a very long time.

As a citizen, it's my duty as an American to speak my mind. And it's everybody's duty to voice an opinion when lives are on the line.

As for Bush, he's no genius. Rove... maybe he's a genius. Who knows. But he's just the guy holding the strings.

And by the way, Saddam had no way of turning NY into a mushroom cloud. I think somebody's been misinformed.

Do you really think Bush would have settled the score with Iraq if it hadn't been for 11 sep ??
I'm pretty sure that Clinton to, would have gone after Saddam, if "11 sep" had happend during his time in the White House.
US forreigh politics changed a lot due to the 11 sep, so it really doesn't make a lot of sence to compare hahahahaz ... sorry Bush and Clinton without keeping that in mind´.

By the way ... when Clinton visited Copenhagen 4-5 years ago, about 150.000 (out a population of 1 million) crowded the center of Copenhagen to hear him give a speach ... protesters where limited to about 100 leftwing radicals.
If Bush was to visit Copenhagen, I think the numbers would be reversed

Why .....
- Well it's not because of the Iraq thing ... I and lot's of other Danes support this initiative.
- It's not because the man would fail a geografi exam in elementary school.
- It's not because of the shitty american economy has devaluated the value of my US-checks by 25% during the last year

It might be because ...
- Bush used to be a CO in the oil-industry !
- Bush's tax-releaves are reserved for the 5% riches.
- The ONLY thing keeping Bush in office is "the war on terror".
- He seems to have an IQ that doesn't exceed 50. It kind of worries me, that the most poverfull position in the world is held by an ignorant muron .... (on the other hand ... a bunch of very wealhty and powerfull men put him in office ... You just gotta "cross your fingers" and hope that there IQ exceeds his).

Basicly it boils down to credibility´and appearance.

Us is the only Superpower in the world, and I'm glad to have them has as "some kind of global policeman".
With the apove in mind, I don't understand how you can elect a guy that represent your great country so badly internationally !
This is not a matter of beeing right- or leftwing, pro-pease or pro-war, but a matter of lack of intelligence and charme.
(I for one would be imbarrassed if our Prime-minister gave that impression to the rest of the world).

This is not US baching ... We're greatfull for all you've done for Europe in WW1 and WW2.
I support US 100% in Iraq, (and for that matter North Korea if it comes to that). Denmark has already deployed special-forces and coatline-subs to the support the US-forces in the Golf ... and this is the least we could do in my oppinion.

...Now let's get rid of Saddam.

Why blame the media?

This is WAR dude - and Saddam watches CNN too - the media is how dis-information is spread to the enemy.

It IS a pity however that somehow they couldn't tell YOU all the real news to you so you would understand these things.

I would MUCH rather see a dis-information campaign again the enemy work, than to foolishly sit here thinking I need to know all this stuff before it happens.

It wasn't the same years ago - But it's just the way it is now.

If CNN tells you - they tell Saddam. They know it, we know it, Saddam knows it... what's YOUR problem with it?

Ever heard of a little thing called a "term of office"?
You make it sound as if the war weren't happening, we could somehow just tell Bush to go fuck himself.
He's in there 'till 2004 at least. He doesn't have to worry about staying in office - therefore this war has no bearing on "keeping" him in office.
And anyone who thinks that's the reason he's doing it really needs to step back and get a look at the bigger picture.

Yes, it's a vast conspiracy. First, a newspaper like the The New York Times is "leaked" sensitive information by the government, then they print it, then the president sues them for libel. The US government in particular loves to leak anti-government information to the press in order to damage their reputation.

We also know that reporters hate to print anything the administration disagrees with - even if it does
sell well and earn them big paychecks. Journalists care more about the "administration" than fame and money.

Furthermore, all those supposed live news broadcasts you see every night are actually delayed. There is a government bureau that is assigned a task of pushing a button that stops the feed at the first sign of anything that sounds suspicious.

See http://www.conspiracytheory.com

...to clearify ... I think Bush, (like most Presidents) would like to get electet for a 2. term ...
Do you honestly think, that he would be re-elected if focus was on US-domestic affairs instead of forreigh politics ???
I don't ...

danish dude

.... and no I don't think he's going to war just to stay in office.
I'm just pointing out, that without 11 sep. Bush would have had an extremly hard time trying to get reelected, (correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he was down to 40% support in august 2001 !).

Not just the war, but look at the PSA's they have out about smoking pot. Tell me that isn't a bunch of bullshit. So, the media is tainted. You do not get the full story, just what they want you to hear.

That is all I meant by that comment. You cannot trust anyone.

Those marijuana ads piss me off to no end.

Well, at least the administration made sure that all the homeless were off the streets and that everyone in the U.S. had good health care before they spent so many millions on anti-marijuana propaganda.

Oh wait... they didn't do that, did they?

When it somes to PSA's about pot, written by ad agencys, and disinformation to the enemy in a war, I just don't see it as "the same thing" if you know what I mean...

I never said anything about disinformation about the enemy or the war, all I said was that the media does not tell the entire truth about most issues. It is watered down or only half truth's

Danish Dude

Well, I just hope that DavePlays doesn't change your mind on your appreication for America.

This American, appreciates your appreciation.
