Anybody watch Walking Dead? I feel like it's starting to suck lately.

I have over 50 zombie dvds and although a huge fan find that i am not always in mood for zombies or fiction at times so best to watch this on disc one after other when mood is right.

That scene with putting sword on same place which is for knifes was kind a hawkward,i am quite sure how sword cannot go there,as it's too long.

It was a dream, so not sure how far one should look into it. It was her survival mechanism, she was "apparently" using her subconscious to keep her spark alive. The slaying of the zombies was her way of snapping out of it, and in doing so she was able to go and look for Carl and Rick.

But I do agree, that knife wasn't meant to go there lol.

yeah, series 2 was pretty crap but I'm really enjoying the latest episodes (but I really hate this American idea of mid-season breaks - what's the point of that?)

The point of the breaks is that they want to get episodes in during the sweeps weeks. There are times when the Nielsen ratings group measures the ratings of a show and it is those numbers that are most widely used when determining the cost of ads for the show. In this case there were sweeps in Nov 2013 and Feb 2014 so they wanted to make sure they got shows in during November then waited to bring it back until February so they can "double dip" on the sweeps.

It is annoying, I know.

I liked both those parts, the dream and the snapping out, when she killed the zombies. When she sees the black zombie chick, she sees that it looks a lot like her, and it makes her think that could be her walking around. A bit later, she looks around, sees she's walking around zombies, spots the black zombie girl again, and thinks to herself she is nothing more than a living zombie, walking among the walking dead, and snaps out of it. That's how I saw it anyway.

it's a sort of combination of Stephen King's novels The Stand and Cell

whoever likes King's novels (which i do) will like Walking Dead too

Both The Stand and Cell have weak endings. Post-apocalyptic stories are hard to close effectively and Walking Dead writers will certainly have the same problem

I like how there's this incessant hate towards the show as it moves forward, yet people still watch it, and it's now the most watched shows on Cable TV.

One way to Really appreciate this show is to also read the comics, even though they tend to go on very different paths, especially when it comes to the fate of some characters. It made me a fan of both.

I have enjoyed the show the whole way through give or take a couple episodes. Once you realize it is a Show about People with some zombies on the side it really is one of the best overall written shows in a long time.

Easily the best show on tv right now until Game of Thrones returns in April. Really not anything else worth watching right now other than maybe True Detective and Shameless and the odd episode of Family Guy.

They treat the zombies like telemarketers lately, super casually killing them when out in the open. Why not fill up your car with gas and go somewhere interesting?

Go anywhere. They heard a signal on the radio in the car a few episodes ago -- no one is excited to follow it up? No one wants to go to the ocean and get a boat and go look around? No one wants to get to an airplane?

I liked the Governor at first, until they turned him into a goofy eyepatch pirate. He built a nice fucking town for everyone to live in.

Yeah i would agree that is key problem,first season was good since they were constantly looking for answers what hell is going now,and later suddenly that information quest was simply abandoned.Plus one thing which is present in most of zombie niche movies - they never bother to explain what exactly caused infestation in a first place,so far only resident evil do that.(and doom tho doom was not a virus infestation in original story). And also killing interesting characters is one more thing what causing it to suck.

If they follow general guidelines from the Comics the way they have so far (Heschel's Farm, The Prison, War with Woodbury) then the quest for Answers will eventually return. I could go on but would rather not spoil it so much
