I have a Nexus 4 phone and I'm pretty happy with it. For Christmas I bought my mom a Nexus 7 32 gig tablet and it's pretty nice. The only draw back in comparing it to my ipad mini, is the mini has a nicer screen size due to it being wider but the nexus has easily twice the wifi range.
Outside of the Nexus the newest Galaxy Note looks very sweet.

I traded in the Galxy s4 (which I had for a week) for the Moto X, and I've been lovin it. best battery life I've had in a long time. Galaxy was just gay all around. Horrible menus and it was slow as dogshit.
