If a sponsor is rude, would you promote?

If a sponsor is rude, or you feel they dont appritiate your traffic would you promote them?

For fuck sakes I do about 3-400 sign ups a month spread to out to serveral sponsors. That might not be much for some folks, but still a good chunk of change. So Is too much to ask for to get a little respect? Not having to wait 2 weeks for emails, or maybe modifing the payouts a little just to make my life a little easier.

I mean im not asking for someones first born, im not asking you suck my cock and swallow beacause I bring you traffic. But some fucking respect would be nice.

Add up all this up with late payments and we be rollin!!

Or maybe its just ME <-----------

ahhh all vented out,
Ray

People should show respect and be polite to anyone until they show they deserve otherwise. Certainly someone who is responsible for sending you business deserves at least as much as anyone else. People have bad days, which should be forgiven, but beware anyone who can't generally be civil.

I have dropped a couple sponsors just because they didn't take the time to reply to an email. I always email them before I sign up, there has been a few of those too that never got any of my business. The last new sponsor I signed up I called on the phone just to see if a human would answer. Sponsors are a dime a dozen - no need to take being treated rudely by any of them.

I always drop a sponsor if they are rude to me. There's more to life than money (even for a Cash Addict!).

Keep in mind your email could be going through a server somewhere that they've filtered out from spam. If you're really interested in promoting them and they haven't answered your email, you might try ICQing them to check that they've actually received it.

What about sponsors who are consistently rude on the board? I've seen sponsors who act like their shit doesn't stink and everyone is beneath them - including their affiliates - and I've seen webmasters who consistently conduct themselves professionally and who have grasped the fact that they're representing their business everytime they speak (or type).
Do any of you take this into account when you're deciding who to send traffic to?

from my expirience webmasters that deliver like one signup per week want to be treated like kings, webmasters that drive in 10+ signups per day are too busy working their sites, they don´t communicate much ....

... put it this way, the way you treat me, the way you´ll get it back ... and no we don´t send out lobsters or tshirts for xmas ... all you get is a check every 2 weeks.

funkmaster, I dont think the amount should matter to a sponsor. The guy doing one per week im sure is trying just as hard as the guy that does ten per day.

Bottom line they are both working for/with you, i think you should not treat one differently. They both deserve respect regardless of the amount of sign ups.

A rude sponsor, incl. its employees, doesn't deserve to be promoted. It's better to treat people with respect if you want to be respected.

Ray, do you have MSN? I'd like to contact you in private, maybe tomorrow

I've dropped a couple sponsors recently too. Sort of a shame too cause the programs were not too bad, but the people/persons running them = jackass(es).

this is an industry and the affiliates I deal with are clients. In any other industry if you are rude to a client you better start looking for another job.

From the guy sending tons of sales to the new webmaster just wanting to ask questions before they sign up with us, I will help anyway I can and be polite along the way. I like the same when I am looking for sponsors.

also, if you are sending that kind of sales feel free to contact me if you are looking to do pill sales. We design and host co-branded store fronts for people sending 10+ sales a day.

No.

A sponsor said some pretty rude things here, not to me but in general, and I took their links right off my sites.

Personally I tend to treat everyone the same. with upmost respect..until they start abusing me.

One thing I won't stand for is being treated like shit by my affiliates for any reason. In those cases it doesn't matter whether they send me 1 sign up a month or 200 sign ups a day..they will get an earful right back from me.

I have certainly based my decision whether or not to promote a sponsor based on how they communicate with me and others. Like sarah said, in any other business, this is how it is.

If you're in business with someone then you treat it as such- period. The problem with this industry is there are far too many people with the business sense of your average constipated ant trying to do something they haven't a clue about.

However, slowly this industry is maturing and those who understand the basics of actually running a business will be the ones that survive. There's currently still quite a few dinosaurs out there who got in at the right time but will shortly become extinct unless they take a 101 in basic business practice.

In addition we offer $3 (equalling 30 Hawgs Points) for every signup. You can redeem your HawgsPoints just as if it was CASH in our HawgsPoints.com store! We offer various payout methods such as paypal, wires, western union, checks. Our content is exclusive and we have several niches to chose from. exactly. i avoid sponsors that mudsling as a way to promote themselves. everything you type = representing your company.

"those guys suck, use us instead!". this is bullshit. focus on what you do well, not the flaws of your competition.

I do my best to be very polite to all of our affiliates and potential affiliates. Sometimes I'm swamped with 3-5 people talking to me at once, all requesting information about the program. At those times I may be short with someone. For that, I do apologize.

Ray, we've talked before. How would you rate me? Should I work a little harder at being more polite?
