So she is surrounded by people who tell her everything is good. Add into that the fact that she is now likely has a niche market nearly to herself. If you need to cast a large actress for a role in your show/movie why not go with the girl who has the Oscar nomination on her resume? So I have a feeling her size is actually helping her get roles.

I read a little while back about a very large guy who was in the movie Varsity Blues. He was getting roles right and left because he could easily play the funny, crazy, fat guy. Then he got some health issues so he got gastric bypass surgery and lost nearly 350 pounds. Now he says he can't get cast and it is just like starting over.
