    It's been reported quite a lot over the years that the success Gabourey Sidibe achieved with Precious went straight to head and turned her into a demanding, obnoxious and rude person to both other people in the industry and her fans. I've watched several interviews with her and she didn't come across very well at all in any of them.

                                                          She also had a big role on the series The Big C.

                                                          She has two major things going against her. First, if you speak out about her weight half of Hollywood attacks you. Just ask Howard Stern. He suggested that she needed to lose weight to be healthy and he got attacked by a ton of people including rail thin actresses who likely stress out if they gain 5 pounds. So she is surrounded by people who tell her everything is good. Add into that the fact that she is now likely has a niche market nearly to herself. If you need to cast a large actress for a role in your show/movie why not go with the girl who has the Oscar nomination on her resume? So I have a feeling her size is actually helping her get roles.

                                                          I read a little while back about a very large guy who was in the movie Varsity Blues. He was getting roles right and left because he could easily play the funny, crazy, fat guy. Then he got some health issues so he got gastric bypass surgery and lost nearly 350 pounds. Now he says he can't get cast and it is just like starting over.
