If the DA's investigation determines that a hate crime has been committed, then I would expect those charges to be added onto whatever charges the defendants already stand accused of.

Yesterday the AP reported the 4 arrests in this case nationally, but for some reason it was not reported in the WND article dated today. Guess the WND is too busy trying to sell right-wing race-baiting books than to report this important development in the case.

Let's see, I wrote more than once, that Ray Widstrand was a victim of senseless violence.

Since the original article cited did not mention it, and none of the posters in this thread that are so concerned about this case, bothered to mention it, I also noted that the police have already arrested four suspects in the case, so they should be brought to justice. As I posted earlier, if the investigation determines a hate crime was also committed, then by all means I think that those charges/enhancements should be added.

What I mostly did was respond to the context in which the original post was made. The post was pure and simple race-baiting. It should be apparent in reading the other posts in this thread by Greg (who now goes by VikingMan, his old nick has been changed to hahahaha), that he is quite bitter and bigoted, like many of the racists on this board.

I hope that Ray Widstrand, or anyone that has been a victim of such senseless violence, may eventually recover, and that those responsible are punished for their crimes.
