:mad Ibill Intercept Fiasco

Ok, I know the writing has been on the wall for some time now. I think Garrett leaving ibill was a bad thing for all ibill clients. Right now they have a non porn guy running the show. And chances are he probably is against porn.

To top things off check this out:
http://biz.yahoo.com/pz/030303/37343.html

looks like intercept is going to really hate porn after this.

Anybody from paycom wanna drop me a line?

that has to do with intercept execs not releasing information that they knew was material to shareholders.

I'm no lawyer, but I think they have a REALLY good case against intercept. Will be interesting to see how much the lawsuit is for and how this will change the acceptance of PORNOGRAPHY at intercept.

Its a really bad sign that so many of IBILL's staff have left in the last month or so. This to me is clear indication that Intercept is calling the shots and that there is a significant morale issue in Deerfield Beach. When have you known a company with morale problems to fire on all cylinders? No, there has to be alot of clock punching and Monster.com searching going on over there right now. Everything points to large amounts of adult business leaving IBILL. Their February/March volume has got to be down and this will not sit well with shareholders.

All this turmoil and still no mission statement from Intercept as to how they plan to help the adult business go forward. The staff at IBILL all say, "oh its business as usual over here", well thats not good enough. Im not looking for static performance, Im looking for innovation, drive and a clear motivation from our billing agents to help us go forward, not stand still. I for one am very disappointed that there has not been so much as an email from upper management at IBILL indicating what exactly are their plans for the adult business. If they are telling all their sales people, PUSH THE ENVELOPE WITH SONY and not PUSH THE ASIAN BILLING OPTIONS, then we adult providers with IBILL are second class class citizens, whose business is being taken for granted. Our business pays the bills right now but I get the sense that they look at us as just the means to get by until they can ramp up mainstream and can afford to kick us to the curb.

I disagree completely with those that say IBILL is going under. What I see happening is that they will not be dedicating resources to meeting the needs of the adult clientele. Of course, I could very well be wrong about IBILL not going under. The one thing I do know is that lately its felt like Im standing on a volcano that is rumbling constantly. I can chose to continue to stand at the lip bu I will get incinerated in an eruption. Or, I can back off this mountain some and keep watch from lower ground. I can always climb back up later if in fact I am wrong.

iBill has been providing payment processing services since 1996 and will continue to focus on the segments that it services today as well as new market segments. We will continue to enhance and develop our offering to support ALL of our clients. We have no intentions of walking away from any type of business that is in compliance with FTC and Card Association regulations.

pfffttttttt, pulease....

Cathy, this tells me nothing. You might as well have just said, "Its business as usual over here" or "IBILLs #1, everybody do the WAVE!"

I could care less if IBILL has been processing since 1996 or 1896, why even mention that? This whole thread is about issues RIGHT NOW, not resting on the laurels of past accomplishments. The "segments" and "support" you speak of, how much is being dedicated to new products for the Adult market? What exactly? Are they actively dedicating development resources towards improving Revshare? In what manner? Are they able to tell me what they are doing to improve our hello page to join submit click ratio? How about European Debit and Dialer integration with Revshare? HOW ABOUT JOHN PERRY OR JOHN COLLINS SPEAKING UP AND TELLING US IN BLACK AND WHITE THAT THEY ARE COMMITTED TO EXPANDING AND SUPPORTING THE ADULT PORTFOLIO AND IN WHAT MANNER? Or is there a problem with that?

There is a big difference to yes we will continue to process you as we have done in the past, and Yes we WANT your business and in fact we have all these plans on how we can make your business grow. You can bet the FTC and Card Association compliant business that Paycom and CCBILL are looking to grow their adult portfolio and neither CEO would be shy to say so right now in writing. Is it unusual that we would expect to see a similar mission statement from IBILL?

If you arent willing to really address issues beyond single posts of no substance, you should refrain from posting. You are damaging your position not improving it.

Scoreman-I don't think the GFY board is the place to comment anything further than what I have. Yes, we are enhancing our system to support the adult segement. I think you have been privy and part of the development of our NexGen platform. I also know that John Perry as well as many other individuals at iBill have reached out to you personally to make sure that you are comfortable with our direction. We are looking forward to the meeting.

You don't think GFY is a place to make announcements and tell people what you're doing to improve your services and products?

Your other clients don't deserve to know what is being done at IBILL to improve the products and services?

Blah blah blah. They are publicly traded, (currently) shortable, and have options contracts available. If you really think they are going belly up... then you can always put your money where your mouth is.

I dont use iBill but I can tell you this much that a lawsuit like this is common in the stock market, investors lose money on a stock they try to cook some shit up.

Those investors will mostlikly get shit and ibill wont fold because of this.

they might have a case. they would have to prove the execs knew that the numbers they were giving out on nov 4th weren't accurate given how the new visa regulations would change earnings.

this statement here is the key

defendants made material misrepresentations and/or omitted to make material disclosures due to their false assurances that the adult pornography internet portion of their merchant processing business was insignificant and due to their failure to disclose that VISA regulations implemented on November 1, 2002, which were targeted specifically to address risks of internet pornography card processing, had caused a material loss of business.

obviously the adult portion of their business wasn't insignificant because it ended up taking a significant chunk out of their stock price.

I'm betting the shareholders will win this lawsuit. They had to have known their degree of exposure to adult sites by the fourth quarter of last year.

I have never ever seen a more over hyped lump of shit in my life

Yes - the billing companies are going thru some hard issues right now, and they are working thru them (some better than others)

Yes - this in turn affects us and the performance of our sales and payments (from time to time)

Yes - this is an issue to concern oursleves with

But can I ask this one question please.....

Where has it been formally announced that iBill is going down or is removing itself from the porn business?

Daniel

From a purely nitpicky standpoint, didnt IBill cease to exist when it and EPX were folded into the new Intercept Payment Solutions that was announced, what I thought to be retroactively, yesterday, with an effective date of 3/1?

It's very disturbing to me that the news is coming from the press releases and not from IBill, especially in a community that has supported the company through more than a years worth of outages, faulty upgrades and imo, plain technical incompetency. These things I know of first hand since I did work for a company that does considerable business with IBill as a backup processor last year.
