They attract the girls using big program names and good money. They promise them lots of work but they have to do an "audition" first. The girl shows up at some sleazy motel, the guy does whatever he wants with her and then he tells her he has to report back to his boss before payment can be made. Sometimes they record this "audition", sometimes they don't. Some don't want the evidence and some can't resist. In this particular case he told he she would get $200 for the audition but would only get paid the day of the official shoot. I'm sure he would have just told her that she didn't get the shoot.
