Check out AVN Online next month.

I have started a new monthly feature entitled "Dynamic Content Management for The Rest of Us"

It will be an ongoing guide to helping the non technical out there develop custom content management systems.

The guys who post "php/mysql developer available" aren't gonna be happy but fuckit. The traditional concept of webmaster is dead anyway.

I think real developers do not have anything to worry. There are
many ways that lead to Rome and developers are not just living
of making CMS systems. There is a lot of demand for CMS
solutions.....so props to you and AVN for addressing this subject.

Itīs a bit like people that do a quick course in < fil inl program language here >
There is a big difference between knowing how to write code and
knowing how to design applications. Writing the actual code is
the most easy part......coming up with the most efficient way to
build a program....now thatīs a different story.

Yes, you're right...The Rome analogy works great...but I want to cut the shit out of the business...

The crucial problem is a lack of standards...Any script stealer can do some basic edits to scripts and call themselves a "PHP/MySQL Developer". I hate this because it creates instability and a lack of integrity amongst people who should know better.

There will always be room for experienced, quality application builders. I on the other hand am developing a simple easy to read and use guide that makes the act of administering PHP and MySQL and basic content mamagement systems as simple as Word Processing.

I look forward to the input of "real" developers in helping me dispel some of the myths of web development....
