Typical republican idiot racist. He is so blinded by the shit shoved into his eyes by the right that he's willing to suffer and die and bring his family down with him instead of buy Obamacare.

This seems to be the problem right here. People seem to think everything coming out of Fox news is "news" when it's heavily slanted.

This video says it all. In three minutes this video has a number of things are completely wrong, but is being accepted as fact. The man says his health insurance is going to cost him twice what the most expensive package costs in his state, which is impossible.

The video was incorrect and misleading, yet you believe in it like a religion.

Of course when Obama does it, it's ok?

The GOP has done everything in it's power to slow down, prevent, or stop this law. It has pulled this law into court over 140 times. The GOP intentionally shut down the US Government in a failed attempt to prevent this law from happening.

No, but millions and millions of people are.

I've told the story about my friend over and over again on healthcare. In fact I saw him last night. Two of his family members - wife and son - have long term uncurable health issues which require regular, monthly doctor visits. Because of the rule about pre-exisiting conditions they will be able to change healthcare for the first time in over a decade. Because of this, their healthcare expenses will be cut by 75%.

Why doesn't Fox news interview people like him?

What an incredible miscalculation on their part. All they had to do was let the administration roll it out. They could've saved themselves a lot of face..

Because it doesn't fit the narrative they're selling. :2 cents: + :2 cents: = :2 cents::2 cents:

One key under-reported piece of this..

The developers didn't get the spec until 5-6 months before the 'go live' date. I've been a developer for 15 years, and I can tell you that is nowhere near enough time to develop a site of this scope.

Now why did they have such a short timeline? Bureaucratic nonsense of course. Believe me, that always happens...AND with all the crap the GOP was pulling, nobody knew what the final rules were going to be!

He stated he voted for Obama. So he should prolong his departure and leave his family broke and in debt for obamacare?

No I will tell you what happened and it will blow your mind. Obama isnt a liberal so he believes at the end of the day big business will do the right thing. Remember after the housing bubble they had Greenspan come up, He killed most of the regulation as fed chairman because the idiot followed the sociopath Ayn Rand. He said how he was shocked because he thought they would self regulate. Surprise! they didnt. Well this gop lite obama I betcha believed the same things at the end of the day. So I have no doubt he was shocked when they fucked him up the ass without lube and I say good for them he deserved it. Didnt want to do the public option like the most of the country wanted and instead some dolecare bullshit.

But its not true, its sad when there are enough real things to attack obama with but people insist in using made up fox bullshit instead. It baffles me.

He's in the echo chamber. You can debunk another Fox fiction until you're blue in the face. Won't matter, he can't hear you.

And he's just going to keep on blindly regurgitating their fictions.

Obama couldn't roll out the single payer idea, as it was way too much of a radical lift. He knew it would be D.O.A. If he proposed single payer he would have been accused of being some sort of Anti-American left-wing Socialist.

So instead, he pre-compromised, and rolled out the GOP right-wing Heritage Foundation supported, Republican plan instead.

This move was met with immediate anger, and Obama was labeled an anti-American left-wing Socialist.

Here's a little video that clearly captures the logic of the situation...

Cancer treatment leaves pretty much everyone broke and in debt. Especially if you get booted from your insurance. And this new law made it easier for the medical industry to come after your assets. Whatever the real story is I'm sure he's between a rock and a hard place. If he lives he will most likely be broke and in debt. If he dies then his family will be harassed for years by collection agencies and most likely everything they own sold off to settle his medical bills afterwards.

Hell if it were me and I had life insurance I'd do like my second cousin did after being diagnosed and "mysteriously fall" off a cliff and leave my family rich and happy rather than broke and in debt trying to hang on a few extra months or years.

That's kind of what I'm saying.

The way the GOP has been handling this is horrible - it's childish. They've fought so hard to defeat it and failed at every level. Instead of investing all of their time and effort into defeating a bill that has already become a law, perhaps they should have ignored it and if it is that bad it would have failed anyhow.

Bingo ! Give that man a prize.
I would say the only one who does give a shit is Elizabeth Warren.
I am shocked no one is talking about that douchebag Timothy Geithner. He will now be a CEO of a private equity firm. The guy who made sure nothing happened to the crooks on wall st now gets his payback. This should be criminal. It should be illegal that you can work in government affecting policy in a industry and then go work in that industry.

I heard about Geithner going to Warburg Pincus this morning. Ladies & Gentlemen, I present example #4,232,234 of the Revolving Door between Govt and Big Biz/Lobbying.

During the financial crisis, he was known as "Wall St's Man in Washington"

I see the insurance industry has denied Barry on the letting people keep their policies, guess he should have talked to them first before making more promises he can't keep

Nothing else that has or might be said here will override that basic truth.
