No, because they're a bunch of assholes who only care about the elites in their little circle. They should actually try being for something, for a change instead of constantly fear mongering, rigging elections and trying to regulate women's coochies.

They are dropping policies blaming it on Obamacare than switching the customer to new more expensive policies. Instead of checking the exchange for a better price they just bitch and moan to Fox News, this has been the case with every single person Fox News has put on any of their shows. Everyone of them has been found out to either no be telling the full story or didn't bother to take 30 mins to educate themselves.

Obamacare's roll out is obviously far from perfect, but just about everyone of these idiots whom jump on national tv or news to bitch and moan have not educated themselves or simply are not telling the full story. Each one has been discredited.

They probably surveyed the same people Kimmel did on which they preferred, Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act.

I found this line from the article hilarious:

Quote:

A Public Policy Polling survey conducted earlier this year found Fox News was the most trusted television news source in the country.

The same poll, though, found Fox was also the least trusted.

So...you're a smart person. Doesn't that poll tell you that most people are idiots? Fox news is heavily slanted to the right -- and that's OK. Somebody has to do it. But you realize as a news organization they're a joke when it comes to actual journalism? It's onl ya propaganda machine.

If you ever watched MSNBC, which you probably don't because it's heavily liberal -- you'd see they actually have some pretty smart people over there compared to some of the dunces at FoX news, which is filled with blonde news bimbos programmed to be Roger Ailes' mouthpiece. There's no one at MSNBC who is the dunderhead equivalent of Gretchen Carlson, Jenna Lee, Martha MacCallum or Megyn Kelly.

I only say this because it seems like you think a poll of idiots makes FOX news have some kind of credibility.

It's true, at least the intelligent Christians get their news from from MSNBC or at least CNN.

Faux News pulls this shit all the time. Then their credulous dupes blindly repeat it without applying a second of critical thought.

Last month, Hannity had 3 couples on to tell their "Obamacare Horror Stories."

Afterwards, a reporter reached out to them and..
  • Turns out, not a single one of them had even visited their exchange. (shocker, I know)
  • The business owner who allegedly cut staff because of OCare: 1) OCare doesn't apply to his business because he has fewer than 50 employees. 2) When asked "were those cuts due to OCare?", he replied with the classic "I'll call ya back" :1orglaugh
  • For the other 2 low-information couples, he found comparable replacement policies on their exchanges that would be 60% lower than their current rates.
  • And there's more!

The full fact-check here.

ps. I know by putting the word "fact-check" in there, that certain credulous dupes will avoid reading the article. Wouldn't want to have their little reality-bubbles disturbed by pesky facts :disgust

The govt doesnt give a shit if you are room mates or boyfriend/girlfriend. You are not married and have no legal ties, what the fuck is so hard to understand about this? Now maybe if you're boyfriend and girlfriend and throwing all your money into the same account that would be a different story, but unless someone is a complete retard they would know better than to do that. You would be renting a room to her, plain and simple. Your income is irrelevant.

Not that it compares or even fits to the discussion but since you brought it up. Coming from a person who use to own a mortgage company, yes.. Rental/roommate income is considered income so if you were to have 10 people sign leases of $500 a month then that gets you $5000 more a month on your DTI and as long as you make a decent living yourself there's your million dollar mortgage. Need to know what DTI is? We used "rental/roommate" income all the time for qualification. Would it look it look a bit shady on the application? Yes.. And so would claiming that there is no household income at such and such address to a government agency who has those figures at their fingertips.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - In the most significant legislative rebuke to President Barack Obama's healthcare overhaul, 39 members of his Democratic Party voted for a Republican bill in the House of Representatives on Friday aimed at undermining his signature domestic policy.

Watching Fox News is like watching idiocarcy come true.. They just tell people who. Lean to the right or are hard core righties what they want to hear.. It's not even just slanted to the right but they purposely mislead like this very story in attempt to spoon feed their viewers what they want to hear. That's not news but entertainment TV.

I don't have to watch jerry springer to know it's fake made up entertainment TV. I don't have to watch WWF to know its fake wrestling made for TV. I don't have to watch any of the so called reality TV shows to know they are all made up fake drama tv.

I don't have to watch Fox News to know its cherry picked and grossly far reaching entertainment tv. It's called using basic logic and common sense to weed out the obvious bullshit. Perhaps it's real for you....then again maybe you believe everything you see on TV...

crockett 11-16-2013 08:57 AM

So tell me Minte.. What's your opinion on Fox News not only once but two times bringing on people to claim false information about Obamacare, in this case it's been shown that the numbers this guy have given are impossible because no insurance company has prices in his state as high as he claims. It's been proven he outright lied,

The first group of people fox brought on a few weeks ago, have all been shown to not be telling the truth and much less two of them hadn't even visited the insurance exchange much less even tried to sign up.

So Minte tell me, is it just some liberal agenda to make Fox News look bad or is it perhaps Fox News bringing on guest that will say what their viewers want to hear and not actually vetting these guest as any other news organization would do? Once can be a mistake, but this happens time and time again on fox entertainment news over a vast amount of topics, not just Obamacare..

Not once has fox ever gone back and admitted their mistake or attempted to correct the stories.. So tell me fair and balanced or just spoon feeding their viewers what they want to hear?

Actually, I have seen Fox correct themselves on several occasions, but then again, I listen to them without the hate you seem to have for them, pull your head out and see the light, the left media is scrambling trying to find light in Obamacare, yet even they are questioning the Presidents actions, even seeing that if a president says he will change the law to allow you to keep your old policies BEFORE he even spoke to the insurance companies, he doesn't give a fuck about the American people.

I base it by time and time again seeing these same kind of slanted interviews trying to push their agenda then time and time again seeing them proven false. Perhaps it's you whom needs to pull ones head out of their ass.

Can you perhaps answer the very same question I just asked Minte.. Tell me what you think about these two specific cases where fox has brought on people to base Obamacare, yet they are almost immediacy proven to be false claims. Why do you think that's ok?

If I were an expert on FOX I would be happy to fence with you. As it is, I have a day job. I go to an office 20+ miles from my home. So during the day I don't watch TV. When I get home, I watch NBC nightly with Brian Williams. My only time I have to watch opinion news is a couple of times a week I watch Oreilly for 30 minutes or until it evolves into a scream off.

I get most of the news during the day from yahoo and politico. I have seen Greta on Fox a few times and she was ok.

All of the news sources put a spin on what they produce. If you can look at a few different sources and get the actual fact. 10 dead..a ship sunk off the coast, obamacare has had 100k people sign then it's fairly simple for me to form my own opinions.

Most of the things that get argued here and on other boards are facts, not opinions.
Did the healthcare website work, no. Did Obama tell people multiple times that they could keep their insurance, yes.. Is the country $17t in debt yes, does the NSA spy on us, probably.. Are any of those statements even debatable?

No it's not debatable, the roll out of Obamacare has been very bad. Did you know the first month of Romneycare only 100 people signed up? Three years later over 90% of MA had health insurance. Will the same happen with Obamacare, well we will see.

However it still doesn't excuse away Fox News bringing guests on their shows that are either brought on to spew out what their viewer want to hear, not based on actual fact or not properly vetting their guests.

I personally think there are lots of people whom are doing what I'm doing. I support the idea of Obamacare, but I've yet to sign up. I'm waiting for them to work the bugs out of the system. I'm sure I'm not alone and I suspect once the website issues are worked out, then the amount of sign ups will start growing very fast.

People want the access to insurance, that is a fact. The lack of sign ups is not a reflection of people not wanting the insurance, but rather the troublesome roll out.

Minte 11-16-2013 09:33 AM

I am going to jump back in on that response about fake news.

I don't. They have zero influence on my views on Obama or his insurance.

You are the one who made the comparison not me.. And as far as it's concerned your roommate could very well sign a lease of their full earnings and yes it could be used as income to qualify. But again the mortgage scenario doesn't fit. While you can be charged with fraud by lying on a mortgage loan application it's much less likely you would get caught over lying on a government assistance application. Which brings us back to the household income. Household income is everyone in the house not just you. WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama's health care law risks coming unglued because of his administration's bungles and his own inflated promises.

To avoid that fate, Obama needs breakthroughs on three fronts: the cancellations mess, technology troubles and a crisis in confidence among his own supporters.

Anyone can change their mind, but when they get reinforced with lies, there is little chance that they will, unless they can be shown that the info is based on lies.

I don't care if the news is pro right or left, anti right or anti left I just want it presented with facts not as opinion based news presented as fact.

I'm sick of news in this country being one and the same when it comes to political parties. I barely even watch national news anymore because so much of it is biased. Fox is just at the extreme fringe of it. Maybe MSBN is as well, I dunno because I don't watch it and don't even know who their talking heads are..
