One only need look at any of the mega huge paysite networks to see that it is largely because of their AFFILIATE programs that they are able to claim such income levels. It is a fact.

So...

I made my "newbie" post to rat to point out that even though he might make 2 million a year.... with such an affiliate program in place that could easily double or triple.

Rat may be correct though... the headaches of running such a program may outweigh the overall gain, at least for him. I will concede that much.

The "dear dickhead" comment was a tad self-indulgent though. I found it.... amuzing, considering our history on this board. Lack of sleep perhaps? Whatever, I was in fact overjoyed to see Rat reverting back to his old self. His "softer" side was beginning to depress me.

A company with 1,000 affiliates..... a few of which send 20-50 signups a day, a few hundred that send 5-20 a day, and a few hundred more that send 1-5 a day, well.... do I really have to calculate the "fallacy" this is based on?

And it all really goes back to the bashing of newbies. Fact is, like it or not there will always be newbies in this business. Any site that displays a "Webmasters click here" link on their site should be doing anything BUT bashing newbies.
