According to what I read here, for a random adult tube site to get .50 cpm TOTAL per page views is good these days, so even the ones that get 1m a day well monetized and well positioned would make only 10k a month. The genius who can do that would probably have all sorts of other monetization tricks that mere mortals can't duplicate.

I said TOTAL per page views with an "s" you're right I should have clarified by saying for all views per unique. Most sites don't monetize every view in adult. Apparently - I don't have a tube and I'm just regurgitating what I read here - CPM is VERY hard to sell in adult. CPC is better, but from what these guys say hardly anyone does click thru.

Yeah but I think even the best ones monetize at .37 CPM or less per page view. Click thrus sell at .01 to .05 and are perhaps 2% so even good geo traffic is worth perhaps .40CPM.

Imagine if Walmart stole all its products and gave them away for free only selling parking spots and cooking oil. There would be plenty of other chain stores going out of business and life is good... Yeah - but there is YEARS of content out there. And then the pro-am and am stuff. Each large tube may have 4 million clips.

The point is, even at extremely low CPM or CPC or even signup, some money can still be made. If it is 1/50th of what used to happen, it is still 100s of millions annually for a few people.

Like the gold rush, like the oil rush, at first it is small guys, then, inevitably, the big boys find a way in and lock it all off, generally by reducing the ability of the small guys to compete.

Here's the main thing I don't understand about Manwin,

MyDirtyHobby - This site does great with the micro payments, it makes a lot of money and there a lots of sites like it that have ditched the subscription paysite model and focus on letting the customer buy exactly what they want to purchase. And a % spend a LOT more than your typical $29.99 subscription.

Some of those sites make an absolute fortune!

Why would you not implement this business model/setup on your adult tube network that has literally 10s of thousands of Amateurs who are uploading their clips for free and a lot of them have loyal and growing fan bases.

Perhaps someone here can explain this to me
