What's the deal with Adobe CS6, photoshop, flash etc...?

So is using photoshop CC (creative Cloud) the way things work now?

Anyone using it?

It seems to say that CS6 products are the end of the line and CC is the future.

While Adobe Creative Suite® 6 products will continue to be available for purchase, Adobe has no plans for future releases of Creative Suite or other CS products.

Yes we dumped everything deleted everything and switched over to CC and let me tell you, this was the best thing we have done so far! KNOCK ON WOOD!!!

But on backups we have kept the adobe products we bought and of course the org box and disc! BUT yea give it a try, do the trial run first and you will see what I mean.

Love Adobe CC. Especially at the student proving!

Is the application still installed on your machine or does it have to access a cloud to work? (Ie need internet on the machines using cc)

I do like the new pricing. It's much more affordable option that I assume will mean you always have access to the newest versions. However if it requires always having a internet connection, that's a deal breaker for me.

I like cc a lot, plus I get a bunch of fun and useful programs that I normally wouldn't buy on their own.

Yeah, good question.

I don't like having to be hooked to the internet; but reality is that I probably wouldn't ever use it without being hooked up anyway.

You have to go online once a month, thats all, and you can run it on 2 machines, which is nice.

it's actually significantly more expensive. for the price of a few months subscription, i could have bought the update i needed. and also, very few updates are game changer updates. those are spread further apart.

If you only buy access to one application, yes it's more expensive.. Like if you only use Photoshop. However to get access to all their apps it's a good deal, when you figure the price of the products plus the cost to upgrade them each year.

I was happy to find out that I could have one license for my PC and another for my Mac. Been using it for about a year now and am very happy.

not the case. it's either 1 app or the bundle. i require 2 cc apps + lr. subscribing for 2 is even more expensive, paying for the bundle is more than i need.
