I always find dark color cars (when clean) look nicer than lighter ones.

Either way congrats on the new ride :thumbsup

Thanks! I like darker cars sometimes... guess it depends on the car. Just my preference for a lighter color for this one.

I am glad we switched from the convertible to the coupe, though.

Update on our car... was starting to think this was going to be a nightmare.

Well, we originally ordered a convertible. We were told that they probably wouldn't be available until late January / February at the earliest. Meanwhile, we saw pics of the convertible (we ordered it before we saw it), and we decided to order a coupe instead. I didn't like the lines of the convertible.

Several items were on constraint for the coupe we ordered so we knew it would be a wait. We were told "6 weeks to 6 months". About a month after we placed the order, I made a slight change to the car to speed up the wait. I originally wanted a carbon top, but changed it to a dual top (2 roofs, one glass and one body color). Well, the glass roof also went on constraint, so I changed it to a body color only. I was told that should bump us way up.

A few weeks later, the original convertible we ordered actually showed up (pics below). We went up to the dealership to look at it in person, but we were told that our coupe order was accepted, so we opted to not take the convertible. That is what we were planning to do anyway. We did take it for a nice test drive, though. :winkwink:

Fast forward to 2 weeks ago, and I stopped by the dealership to check on the car. The factory closes down each year for 2 weeks during the holidays, so I knew it would be delayed, but I wanted to check and see if they had a TPW (targeted production week) yet. They gave me the order sheet, and it said the car was "queued for production". BIG problem, though. We ordered an automatic... the car ordered was a manual. You gotta be fucking kidding me... The dealership contacted the factory, and they informed me that the order could not be adjusted.

So... I was told they would put in a new order for the correct car, and I would be the next car submitted. It would/should only delay the production a few weeks, they said. Then, the next day, I got a call from the dealership saying that they had a customer back out of a deal for a car he ordered back in August. It is almost like the one I ordered, except a few things. It had already been built, and was waiting on the truck ride to Florida.

Differences: This car is identical to the one we want, with three differences. 1. It has a carbon roof, which is what we originally wanted anyway. I'm good with that. 2. It has a carbon hood stripe. Not sure how I feel about that. 3. It does not have yellow brake calipers. I'm NOT happy with that.

Well... the car showed up today.

Here are some pics of the convertible we originally ordered. We stopped by and drove it, but opted not to buy it, even though it was quite nice.

A couple pics with the top down. It looks MUCH better like this, but I'm not a fan of it with the top up. (BTW, that's my Ford Raptor in the background.)

And, here are pics of the car when it showed up today...

We ended up ordering a set of yellow calipers that will be put on when they arrive. So, guess I have an extra set of black calipers, just in case. :D

Got a call right when the truck got there, called my wife Alysha (shameless plug) to meet me at the dealership, and headed up there.

A few pics coming off the truck and after the cover was removed:

Traded the Infiniti QX56 in (that's our Ford Raptor next to it... not trading that, though :D ):

Home now... will let you know what I think after a few days of driving. Have the yellow calipers on the way, plus I'll be ordering a bunch of crap for it, too. Carbon side skirts and front air dam, smoked tail lights and side markers, a few under hood items, and of course tinting the windows.

Glad the wait is over, though...

I think the yellow/black looks better in person. We were up in the air between yellow w/ black interior, white w/ red interior, or red w/ black interior.
