I am sick of hearing how ?money grows right from the ground? that is bullshit.

We started a few months ago and I will post my stats

I did not want to invest in prime land without a secure return, so I used a sand lot next to my building that the owner said I could use for free. Our thinking was once we start raking in the dough we will get some top land. I got some seeds, some squash and I think some cucumbers because they were on sale on the internet and we all like cucumbers and I know what makes a good cucumber.

After throwing the seeds down, I poured some water on them. I made sure to use good quality, drinkable water right from the faucet. I am not a seed placement expert so I didn?t bother with it, but we were going to get a guy who knows that stuff if this were to take off. The next day I was expecting at least something, but nothing ? not one damn cucumber.

I threw some more seeds down and arranged them around, and this time I poured on like 200 gallons of water. I did some research, and found out that lots of people are using fertilizer, which is basically animal crap, so we got free fertilizer from an old woman with a Pomeranian. I mixed it with the water and poured it on the seeds. Still, nothing. I got some dead leaves blowing in from a tree across the street but that kind of greenery is useless to me.

On the plus side, I built an awesome sign that says ?Johnson?s Farm? so I did have the best branding.

I am really pissed at the building owner, because it seems like his ?land? just doesn't work. Like I said I have been using water all my life so I know the water is good. After two weeks, I found out that harvest was last month, but I am not planning to just make money once a year. I need these crops to grow year round, and I am getting zilch.

I have done everything I could do. Here are my stats, after wasting hundreds of dollars and hours.

0:400 feet.

Everyone saying you can get better than that is lying or on crack. Because somehow crack makes you use photoshop to inflate your stats.

farming is tough, if you don't know what you are doing, as in this point, you will just waste your time and money.

stop trying to chase the easy dollar and focus on something that you know and have a skill in. if you dont have a skill in anything, then enroll in some trade school or factory job

I own commercial green houses and know a lot about the business. I have read your post carefully, and the best advice I can give you is to turn your back on agriculture, you are not the type of guy who will succeed in this business. Take it as good meant advice from a professional. It is one of the most highly sophisticated industries you can imagine and from what you wrote you are the most unsophisticated guy in the business next to maybe starving 3rd world farmers.

You have to get the bot that manages your farm for you. It tracks when the crops are finished growing and then harvest your crops and plant new ones, water, then fertilize.

You have to send out friend invites for your friends to come help on your farm too, because you will run out of water and fertilizer. Buy extra wells as soon as you can, and the water troughs and feed silos and keep your animals fed because they are another source of fertilizer for your crops.

Personally I dont get why people play that fucking game, seems like the only people making money on it is Facebook and Zynga.

It really depends the way you plant it, and the quality of soil. I have a garden at the back of my house and it's pretty awesome! Not making money though but I have a free foods if I'm hungry.

Some good farms have been worked on for generations, then they get sued by Monsanto for bs reasons, just for using seeds... Monsanto also has over 90% market share in seeds, so ask them.
