okay guys and gals, i would like to know who has the best and most believable fact checking online. i would assume most people use wiki, but what else is there? obviously there are sites like snopes,com which i believe is run by the government(that can be another discussion i'm sure) so how does someone find out the "TRUTH"???

open discussion starts now, and i don't wanna hear any "truthers" or "nutters" comments....

depends on the topic but wiki is the last place i'd stop for facts, i'd start there though, specifically the bibliography section for links to direct infos.

the important part is to try to drill past other people's opinions of the news and come up with your own, that requires multiple sources to try and gleen from each the facts.

...seriously tho, the whole 9/11 thing got me thinking today. every one has an opinion, and almost always different then the person they are engaging. so how do you find out what is fact and fiction anymore?

The truth comes from many sources and perspectives. Usually not one alone. That said Wikipedia is usually fairly objective provided the article gets enough traffic and edits. I would trust wikipedia over a left or right wing blog. Most of the factcheck sites are good. Just make sure they aren't ran by a biased organization.
