Are you Safe in a Dying Industry

It seems Slowly the little Guys are getting Pushed out. Sales are Down at Possibly Record Levels. Legislature is starting to hit the industry. Plus more and more of our Faithful subscribers are being sent overseas to possible Participate in a little war game.

How are you gonna cope with the comming times and the Over Saturation of our Industry ?

The sky isn't falling.

I remember a little over two years ago when no one knew who Lightspeed Media was. I still recall going out to lunch with a company we had just started to do business with, and telling them about our plan. I'm sure they laughed at us. Less than three years later we are one their biggest customers.

Here's a few things I've learned:
- Be nice to people on the way up. I'll never forget the people who told me to get lost two years ago.
- If your in this for the quick money.... Get the fuck out. Your doing nothing but pissing people off.

The over saturation will never end.

Why? Because too many kids and Russians are willing to work like animals for 20 bucks a day.

I have got to say i have watched Lightspeed Since they Started and i really Like what came outta them .. Great people and They are Honest.

I can say they are a good sponsor that had the opertunity to grow at and alarming Rate. But they didnt die out to like many companys that grow so fast.

Over saturation is a Big Problem.... if anyone is to make money that is .. But im sure we got a couple more years before the big adult companys control it all and push the little guys out somehow

Oh, please. I've heard this sort of crap for years, told my family and friends what I'm doing and haven't had a real problem yet. Keep on plugging, porn will always be around, it's just the players that will change.

surfers are just getting smarter which will amke it harder to sell. you cant keep fooling them with flashy sites that all look the same made only to convert and with no attention to member satisfaction. im doing very well, but its all about choosing the right sites to promote. i have a rule, if i join it , im happy with the service and happy with the content then i'll promote it.

Society as a whole has seemed to be reaching the point of oversaturation rapidly the last several years. what does it mean? possibly it will turn people back to quality over quantity and push all the bullshit aside?

You should get your own program if GFY ever goes live.. "The Existentialist Hour, with quiet"

It could be like a really depressing version of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood.

"Today we're going to learn about the letter D. Many important words begin with the letter D, like despair, death, and deconstructionism..."

"Can you say deconstructionism?"

"I knew you could!"

Amen. Excuse my rant, I just have a few things to add . . . LISTEN UP nothing is worse than a business that has no respect for the people paying their bills. This is a GREAT industry and it will grow at least 100 fold in the next ten years along side internet growth. I am proud to be a part of it. True the landscape will change and there will be ups and downs those that do it right will still be around, the ones just in it for the money will not . Its easy to steal other peoples ideas but they don't work because the most important part is you need to be pasionate about what you do to find success. This is true in all things in life. Those who love the sites they run or promote will always be more succesful than those who are only in because they are chasing a money trail. The people chasing the money will also be the first to declare the sky is falling when they find themselves totally lost with no idea how they got there. Find what you love and do it and you will find success (i feel like a motivational speaker)

Not necersarily.

I trebled my turn over in 2002 from 2001 and most of my clients seem to be doing well.

I agree it is getting harder to get started. You're now unlikely to make $100,000 with a $100 start up, it'snow difficult to make a profit if you have little talent at porn.

Welcome to the real world buster.

Steve at Lightspeed showed that it can be done.

The newb holocaust is coming soon, and I will be the one shoving you into the "showers".

When recurring dies, so do you.

No more 40 per signup on your 350k cj hits a day. No more pay bandwidth bills. Bye bye newb.

At the moment there are few big porno companies coming in and doing it well. But once the news get\'s around that Score, Hustler, Private, etc. are cleaning up it will get harder for the amatuer to get in or the guys who do 50 cookie cutter sites with $1,000 worth of content.

[Labret] is right the market is changing and unless you really have something to offer, I would be looking at really thinking hard on your future.

The days of slinging mud at the wall are coming to an end.

But the Golden Age of the Adult Internet is still to come.

Quality is a Good Factor..

There are alot of Quality Sites Out there now a Few Really good ones that i am noticing.

Lightspeed ---- Always finding cute Girls that convert.
SweetCuties ---- I personally think his concept is good and quality is excelent.

Exploitedblackteens.com --- Good Quality and a Decent site

Quality sells better to the established porn subscriber.
Newbies go for what they can get cheap. Like the Sites that advertise Free. But then they will eventually realize they should just pay the membership .

Another Thing TGPS Should not Require Top Quality Pics to be Displayed Free they should use Pics that are in the middle you just want to get the surfer interested

An excellent point. I would like to expand upon it, but i'm pretty drunk right now. I'd bet a good percentage of.. say,, quiets TGP traffic joins.. come from guys who've joined 2-3 paysites before and have been dissapointed. They retain because they've finally foud what they've been looking for.. someone whose site lives up to its promises.

[Labret] is right the market is changing and unless you really have something to offer, I would be looking at really thinking hard on your future.

The days of slinging mud at the wall are coming to an end.

But the Golden Age of the Adult Internet is still to come.
This Is very True Webmasters will need to Establish themselves with a strong foundation .

But im sure there will be new people still comming in and with even newer and Innovative ideas but there is always room for more in the industry but you cant always do the same thing everyone is doing

IMHO - the industry isn't dying, it's dying for people who want to make a quick buck and do things like:

- build a paysite that has barely anything for content and thus is something no consumer should pay for - especially when the tour promises way more than is in there.

- be misleading with their sign up terms.

- don't stay on top of customer service.

The shit part is alot of good people trying to run an honest business are going to suffer for all the above types for awhile but at the end of the day the biz will shake out the crap because the "powers that be" are forcing it to be so.

The only "end of the world" scenario I see is the end of the days when people can try to build a paysite with a thousand bucks.

If you are a Marketer and Creative you're fine, no matter what the industry no matter what the conditions.

I have been doing this for around 6 years now and when I got into it there was only 2 or 3 webmaster programs. ynot was the only resource and everyone was saying the industry was going to die then.

Every year I hear the same thing about the industry dying and people quiting while I continue to watch my company grow and many friends and other companies make tons.

Porn isnt going anywhere. It may change with the times but its going nowwhere! We cant help it.. We all love sex and its mysteries and its in our nature to be attracted to whatever we are attracted to.

We just have to change with the times and adjust with new billing features and stratagies. We may have to even except only cash at some point but hey. There will always be a way!

Silvercash is doing record numbers for sales. Our ratios are great!

Keep up with the evolution!

SC version3 Coming soon!
