Well I am no dirty d or euro revenue, just taking a new approach to things in small niches that convert. Using epoch + ccbill, no mystery billing here

I'm not sure how "middle men" would benefit from not crediting joins to me, its not like they would be getting paid. The members still need to get members access, I doubt they are charging members and then not giving them access to my sites.

Why does everyone think that is the only way for middle men to scam...giving logins without passes

that's pretty amateur and old school scam technique....there are newer and more subtle techniques that are much harder to detect

Just affiliate traffic, last couple of weeks. This is across all blue pixels sites on the one ccbill account with account grouping active, so it includes a couple of non-updating sites, so our ratio on updating sites is better. We used to be stable at around 1:650 3 years ago and before, so it has not tailed off too badly. Overall affiliate traffic is down though from 3 years ago, way down, only equates to about 15% of our sales, so if anyone else wants to get onboard and promote us you know where we are

Stats for SMC Revenue, all traffic and sales made with just one blog made in April 2012 (8 posts) which gets about 20-30 daily uniques. No backlinks. It contains only one medium softcore pic per post linking to FHG, some links straight to Tour. This blog was created to check how shemale sites sell and as you can see they sell very well - shame there's no PPS at SMC

Global Conversion stats are meaningless fluff.

Here is what I mean, I looked at some of internal referral stats by referring domain, these are not organic SEO or Type-in referrals, the results were like this:

1. Affiliate A sent 2000 uniques and 1:30 were sales conversions
2. Affiliate B sent 2000 uniques and 1:200 were sales conversions
3. Affiliate C sent 2000 uniques and 1:70,000 were sales conversions

Same sales month similar referral volume

Affiliates with good domains and good traffic make high conversion money.
Affiliates using bulk traffic, volume oriented link trading, traffic generation domains (TGP, MGP, Tubes) have longshot conversion ratios.

It comes down to ROMI (return on marketing investment) or ROE (return on effort [I made that acronym up :P]). Biblically speaking: You reap what you sow -- but you need to be planting in fertile ground too.

I personally experience this with my own personal referral webmaster income -- each webmaster's conversion ratio has differed from 1:120 to 1:1400 on the referral counts but the traffic quality is what affects their respective conversion ratios.

So, global conversion ratios are just bullshit in my experience.

Yes, this is ofc true but It's still nice to see low numbers instead of a average of 1:5000 or so, especially since It's dependent on traffic volume. If our over-all sales would be 1:5000 we would make less than 1/7 of the money with current traffic

I have always ignored published conversion ratios when I was an Affiliate and asked myself: "Would my referrals maybe buy from this site?"

If a sponsor has 10 sites and shows conversion ratios that are relative (by the sponsor's own math) then those ratios are relevant to the sponsor's overall affiliate program and might influence you on which of that sponsor's websites to commit your marketing effort.

But Sponsor A and Sponsor B may use very different math to arrive at his stated conversion rate(s).

Trust your gut and experience or learn from other successes and failures.

If you want a warranty -- buy a toaster. I think the OP is looking for an edge to success in the wrong supporting data -- that's my point.

I have to explain this to people daily. People refuse believe that not all traffic has the same value when it comes to conversions... Some convert incredibly well, others horribly, but that roe and roi are the bottom line aren't they?
