Thanks for the reply adultmobile but I think you may not have understood what I was asking.

Its a solo model site and I'm just looking for setting up her members area - not a full cam studio, not revshare with another site,.... just her in her members area to her fans as part of a monthly subscription.

Not a $7500 cam studio package with multi-models, etc.

Adult hosting companies will have Wowza servers for you to use - it's a live video streaming server. It's cheap and fairly easy to use, providing you have managed hosting and they have Wowza. That's for the video stream, you'll have to find software for the text chat - there are Flash and PHP solutions for text chat which aren't that expensive. I used one that was like 20 bucks and did the job for a solo site, you won't have more than 100 members watching and probably less than that.

Well you need single model stream but still you need a chat; wowza just gives video, but not the chat. I see you asked this already in 2011 and in 2008:

I know several developers who do this stuff "cheap", perhaps I hit you in ICQ/mail to give contacts.

I'm guessing "latest" has a different meaning in your area. To old bald guys like me here in the English speaking USA is means "most recent" (not 2-5 years ago).

I do not know if this would interest you nor how it exactly works but I know that few model sites uses Streamate to add the model's webcam shows directly into their members area. I suggest that you contact them for more information if you happen to be interested.

If you're going through the trouble and expense of putting a model on a webcam, why not broadcast to an entire network like MFC or Streamate which has built in traffic or affiliates so that you can not only make money from the shows but also potentially get more eyeballs and traffic to your solo site? As opposed to having her do a cam show for the five or ten site members that happen to be online during the exact time of her show?

I am bald too, just no USA. I looked your old posts just to remember true teen cams times when I was working at met-art, a small "bald guys" world. Was it windows media?

So to answer the question (now that I figured): there was no real "tech" updates in last 2 years, except you should make sure that the H264 codec it is supported, instead of old H263 (sorensen). Lots of old cam software does not yet support H264 video capture on model client yet! And no one declare if they support H264 capture or not! Most uses H263 and video is slower framerate esp. on higher resolutions 640x480+, than it should be with H264. Also H263 does not play in iphone and android.

Flash AS3 to use is:
H264VideoStreamSettings -> setProfileLevel(profile:String, level:String):void
Example: H264Profile.BASELINE, H264Level.LEVEL_2

On the server as others advised, the best it is wowza.
Extra to that, I could tell that you may need to use wowza audio transcoder to support playback to iphone/android devices (it uses cupertino i.e. Apple html5 http streaming, in place of flash).
I am unsure if mark's 2much thing supports playback on iphones yet, but I guess H264 capture there should be.

Just the avice it is in short: make sure capture is H264 and playback works on an iphone and ipad, including audio. If that happens, it is cool and latest.

iFriends offers a remote webcam module that models can use inside their members only area of their site. With this module, anytime the model signs in a session on iFriends, they are also broadcasting live to the paying members of their membership site. Users inside the members area have access to chat, and the model can easily tell on her side who's accessing via her members area and who is a paying member from iFriends.
