They still sell singles at my local shop - Its terrible really.....

I had a 3 mile walk to school but spent my bus fare on cigs instead - 99p for a packet of 20 RedBand.....

I am not going to look at today as a 'fail' - Its just a blip, and then carry on smokeless tomorrow.....

Vaping is amazing - Apart from today's fuck up I have been doing really well - I have been smoking for nearly 30 years, longer than most of GFY have been alive.....

I quite last year (Oct) and found myself pinching a smoke from a pack last month at a weak moment (had quite a few too many drinks).

When you stop for the first time you feel no temptation to start again but if for whatever reason five or ten years later you pick it up again and quit again the temptation stays with you forever, if that makes any sense. I still have a half carton of cigs on top of my fridge from when I had quit. My wife asks me why we dont throw it away. I tell her its to remind me that I am stronger than they are.

I hate being controlled. I quit smoking because I was sick of being controlled. It stinks, tastes bad, pisses money away and has 0 upside. It is all mental and fear is the only thing that stops you from quitting.

Allen Carr is the shit.

Smoked cigs 35 years myself - been vaping now for about 2 years.

I surprised myself by finding the transition rather easy. I didn't expect it to be that easy. But I watched my boss (a good personal friend) go through the removal of his voice box and having to talk through a machine held to his throat...and then eventually his death by cancer. He was a heavy smoker - and that was the final kick in my ass to give vaping a serious effort.

I have him to credit for that.
