I still have a half carton of cigs on top of my fridge from when I had quit. My wife asks me why we dont throw it away. I tell her its to remind me that I am stronger than they are.
I hate being controlled. I quit smoking because I was sick of being controlled. It stinks, tastes bad, pisses money away and has 0 upside. It is all mental and fear is the only thing that stops you from quitting.
